usually when ur running in, fuel comsumption is usually higher, due to the fact that all the parts is new, and need some time to get seasoned, i am only doing 260 to 280 when it turned to reserve.. i believe that after about 3000 to 5000 km, it should be better already, correct me if i am wrong

Hi,

Soild end can, hows the performance though?

Btw, asked motowerld, Yoshi only full sys coming in.....

performance is great, but to me i cant feel very well due to the history of my rides, see my signature :p

full is good, but pricy, imo i dun see the need, due to the fact that ours has a very nice+good header, all u need is to de cat the header and change end can, and it is as good as a full system.. all u pay is less than 1k compared to the near 2k for fullsystem..

lets pray hard, but in fact i am able to do 260 to 280 is already not bad due to the fact its running in, and its some what close to the average 300km

I believe that instead if 3 liters reserve with 15 liters to go before hit reserve (Spec 3), revo is now 4 liters with only 14 liters to go then hit reserve. Its my observation + in the Jap manual page 26, talking something about petrol, i see a "4.0L".

1) Quoted above was on the petrol and how come very fast reach reserve.

2) True that during running in fuel consumption is higher. Even if hard run in, the first thou km +- will also be the same.

btw, Any one got the English manual?

To let all have more insight on the market research on the Revo, here are some point to take note;-

- There are 2 make of the revo (not including the Bor' or) and the cost is between 800 to 1k more

* With ABS (actually is CBS)

* Without ABS

- In Sg, there is agent bike (Boon Siew) and PI bike & same there is a cost difference of 700 to 1k more getting the agent bike

* Chasis no JHxxxxxx for agent bike, sticker & manual in english

* Chasis no NCxxxxx for PI bike, sticker & manual in Japanese

- On the market currently,

* BP is offering the best pricing (non ABS) at 11800 (PI), 12500 (agent). Interest 4%, COE capped at $852 (topup differences), IU add $165, Insur 2nd party based on age above 30 (add 300 topup for comprehensive)

* ASPhoon's at 12800 (PI - non ABS), interest 5%, add insur (depending on age) & transfer fee (100+). Package normally includes crash bar, susp protector, box & rack

* Mah PL at 14000 (non ABS) and 14800 (ABS). Interest 4% (AXA)

* Looi at 14500 (ABS), interest 5% (AIG)

There could be better deal elsewhere but din really check all out.

As for the bike itself, introducing the PGM-FI to the 400 is nothing new as this technology is proven. It starts smoothly with auto-choke for about 55 sec before the rev stabalise. Aceleration wise is smooth and responsive, a different experience compare to the carb model. But this bike definitely runs high in temperature often triggering the fan to be on.

Hi , would you be able to provide me with the contact of BP ? I would like find out more on this Revo with them.

Thanks

Got my revo last two days back.... superb bike.... smooth acceleration..... I tried my fren spec3.... got difference in the smoothness of the engine.... revo got better pick up if compared to stock of spec3... i may be wrong..... buy surely PGM-FI sure made alot of difference in performance... for revo bikers, wat is ur running in distance.... i got contradicting info that i should running in at 1000km and 3000km... which is which? i realise that some revo... the stock wheel is dunlop and some is battlax... why there is a difference leh... me got battlax instead... but both are still good...
