Hi all,

Today, after my bike park under the rain, the signal light of my revo like spoil..

Sometimes ok.. sometimes got delay for 3 to 5 seconds before it start to blink..

Is it the relay go inside water?? How to check if it is ok?

Quite dangerous to ride in laggy signal lights.. esp in rainy days now..

Pls advise.

Thanks in advance!

ABS stands for Anti-Lock Braking System

If u are riding a bike or driving a car with ABS, no matter how you jam the brakes, the wheel will not lock.

I believe at some point you might have jammed the rear brakes too hard causing fishtail?

ABS prevents that! :D

Protaper handlebar I can give u an answer, u need to refer to someone else.

i got answer for your question from my mentor. here it is.

double sweep purely means your battery is getting weak.

it does not for any instances, means that your magnetic coil is faulty.

BUT, the real question is, why is your battery weak?

are you doing short rides with lots of stopping and starting your bike again?

IF you are doing long rides but still getting battery weak signals, then it might be something wrong with the components that charge up the battery.

get what i mean bro? :D

@xiaoyuer1988 Your magnet coil is OK. I believe I have touched on this as well in a previous post. For ease of reference, you can read it under the FAQ thread on the double sweep issue.

Briefly, if you did not change the battery, the system will still detect that the battery is weak. So, it will sweep a 2nd time after ignition.

If the battery is new, chances are that the shop did not fully charge the battery before installing it on your bike. So, the battery is charged up to say 70% or 80% as an example. As it is not 100% charged, the system also recognise this as "weak" battery.

I have the same experience as you do after changing my coil. I've been running the bike with 2nd sweep for about a year now. No problem starting bike on first try. Also left bike for about 8-9 days and bike starts on first crank.

So, nothing to be concerned about. As yo can no longer rely on 2nd sweep to tell you when your battery is actually deteriorating, use time (about 2-3 years) as a guide to decide when to replace the battery. Using a voltmeter will also give you an idea about the general health of your electrical system.

Be wary of the source of information for your bike's maintenance. Some FAQs are compiled by people who lack the technical know how.

i tot double sweep is cuz e magnetic coil spoilt. cuz e bikeshop previously told me that.

normally hw long can a new magnetic coil last?

double sweep does not meant its the magnetic coil, it only means the bike detects a weak voltage supply. A weak battery, faulty magnetic coil or/and faulty rectifier might be the cause, magnetic coil charge up the battery while rectifier convert the AC to DC supply, the DC supply then power up our bike..... double sweep means weak supply so it might be a faulty coil that is unable to charge up our battery, or a faulty rectifier that is unable to convert the current, or a weak battery..... magnetic coil is most expensive out of the 3

I beg to differ. 2nd sweep is not an indication of weak voltage supply. It is instead an indication of the condition of the battery as mentioned in my previous posts. I can confirm this because if it is in fact an indication of weak supply, then my bike wouldn't run as sweetly as it does and it wouldn't continue to charge the battery over the period of more than a year since the needles started sweeping twice. As such, I wouldn't have been able to start the bike first time every day nor will it start after leaving the bike for up to 9 days.

As for how long the magnet coil lasts, it really depends on a number of factors such as quality of engine oil used and whether the bike is well maintained or not. Low quality oil and bad general maintenance contribute to engine heat and will cause the coil to deteriorate faster.

When I replaced my coil just shortly after buying the bike, it was 3 years and 9 months old. I believe if my bike continued to be run only in SG and generally under 120-130km/h max speeds, that same coil could have been used for another 2 years or longer.

Be wary of the source of information for your bike's maintenance. Some FAQs are compiled by people who lack the technical know how.

I beg to differ, how can a bike indicates the condition of the battery? It can only detect a weak supply voltage hence giving the 2nd sweep, As revo is EFI bike, it will need higher current than other specs to start up the bike hence lower the voltage of the battery when we crank start, the 2nd sweep is only that moment detection. The lower voltage will trigger than 2nd sweep, weak supply doesnt mean bike wouldn't run as sweetly as the magnetic coil is able to charge the battery when the bike is running
