Vector one no longer dealing with Tag bars. Think Hoo Hin (auntie) has taken over.

Renthal Bar , those normal looking ones. Low bend i guess cost ard $120+- from chiong aik , thats what i was heard from a forumer when i pm him about the bar .

Another one is TAG Metal T2... n its mid bend.. auntie @150... free universal clamp n bar pad...

Anyway , does cutting 1 inch or 1/2 inch from both side the bar will affect anything ?

Im getting one for my super 4 too , but dont know which bar to get and what bend is suitable.

Thats all i know about bars...

Guys, there seems to be some confusion about the various bends of bars available. Protaper, Renthal, Tag Metals, etc are brands of bars. For each brand, there are numerous bends available.

"High bend" is generally used for bars that are more than 110mm in height. "Mid bend" usually refers to bars with heights of 90 plus mm, and "low bend" refers to bars that are 80 plus mm high.

Another very important consideration is Sweep. That refers to how much the hand grip portion is "pulled back". The lower the sweep number, the "straighter" the bar if look from the top. Bars with too little sweep makes it rather uncomfortable on the wrists.

I consider the CR Double High bar to be a high bend bar with plenty of sweep.

Full sized bars are usually 800mm wide (plus minus a few mm). If you are thinking of chopping some lengths off either side of the bar, keep in mind that that the bar is thicker in circumference as you move closer to the center, and your controls may not be able to mount properly.

For road usage, usually riders go for a low bend bar with plenty of sweep. High bend bars with less sweep are preferred for off-road, where riders tend to stand more.

Bars are a very personal thing. I tried quite a few bends over the years to finally settle on something I like.

Have you all seen SUNLINE handlebars, with the gel thing inside to reduce vibration. Mezzo brought them in, dame nice, comes with grip and donuts and lock wire and glue also. Lots of uswent there today to have a look. Not many pieces left. Poor Matthew had to work to late. Ha Ha.
