Thanks guys. I called Yamaha, they request me to send in the bike for 1 day, to clean the carb becuase the bike may be store in the warehouse too long.

After sending my bike to Yamaha for cleaning carb, the mentioned problem solved.

If they provide bed.... Why not :p

That's why i like to send my bike to Yamaha for servicing. But to book the Saturdays' for servicing, you need to at least book 1 month in advance :faint:

Actually take a fuel savings with a pinch of salt as most don't work. If it works, you also need to spend first before you can save.

A simple caculation:

SG average is 20k km per year. Assuming you get 5% savings which I think is really good, at fuel consumption of 40km/l and $1.60 per litre, you only save $40 a year. I think that thing cost $100+. So you are looking at 3 years before you start to save.

Just by riding more on highway these few days get me in the 50km/l range. So this is real savings w/o costs :)

just how did you get 50km/l??? i'm impressed!! i also ride more on the highways and the best i could muster is about 40-42km/l and that's riding at 70-80km/hr. lol...

I'm selling my Yamaha Nouvo Elegance.. juz wondering if anyone is interested.. Most likely to let go at Dec after i got my Fuoco..

YSS rear suspension $200+

Front Enlarged Brake Disc (Original also going along)

Brembo Master Pump $280 (i think is R1 or R6 OEM brembo master pump)

Power Abuser from Japan $150 (dunno what brand also)

Hel front brake hose $70+

New belt and rollers at 8k

Rear handle carbon fibre wrapping at Robson Design $240

Koso Mirrors $80

Hecpo and Becker Box with base plate $650

All in selling for only $4200 (cash). If without box, discount to $4000

Viewing can be done at Sengkang area if i'm at home..

Pls pm or sms me at 97486180.. might change my mind in keeping if response is not good.. afterall spend so much on the bike liao.. :cheeky:

I'm riding the tri-color one but not selling.Jus love the nouvo.Hopefully will have an aftermarket legal exhaust in future.

any chance you wanna sell your brake disc and suspension? :cheeky:

I will because most people in forum already own bike and it's unlikely for someone to get another 2B bike. So the audience is quite small.

you cannot say that. right now, i'm seeing more nouvo riders on the road. for me, i just COI-ed my gf's bike and this nouvo is damn good for a 2nd bike!! about pipes, i've seen before a JB bike with a nice engine sound, a bit like gilera but i'm not sure how he did it.

anyway, sorry to intrude. i'm really a new guy to the world of autos. where do you guys service your bike? just now, i serviced at WY, amk industrial. they told me, for nouvo, best use the yamaha oil. cost $9 for 800ml. any difference with those 15-40 synthetic ones or 20-50 semi-synthetics ones? for my other bike, i've always use fully synthetic though. so, im really curious.

also for spark plug, i've changed at every 10k. is that ok? and the belting, they say must change every 10-15k. but when my gf bought the bike, they told her to change every 1 year or 30k. so, now i'm confused cos the bike is already at 19k but still feels fine though.

any of you guys serviced your bike at JB before? which shop you guys recommend for nouvo? i've always went to the shop opposite ah gua lane, the one with the MOTUL signboard in front. but long time never go there so not sure if they have the stuffs for nouvo. at WY, they told me to do the whole belting thingy, it will cost $120. what's the damage at JB for those of you who change there? last time i change the nouvo parts was just the rear tyre, duro tyre costing me $65+$20(tubes). what's the price like in JB eh? RM95 for both sets?
