100kmh good enough liao. :)

I hear X1R not as fast as Spark135, so maybe 120kmh bah~~~

actually w/out modifications done-

all stock 4strokes kapchai will be the same la-

by the time u reach 120km/h ur engine already stress-(im talking bout long run at 120km/h on the expressway):nono:

so i dont believe for STOCK bikes- spark will be faster than x1-r or x1-r will be faster than spark either way-:thumb:

My experience:

i still find honda wave engine very durable-

My previous wave i always cruise the expressway at 120km/h almost everyday.. for 1 year my service was only changing e.o and its still doing great-

Wave is one of the most economical bike around. Given it's low maintainace and durability, it's the bike that many people still go for, though it's not as pretty as many other cubs.

to all waveriders out there,my bike is unable to go more than 100km/hr and reaching 110km/hr is damn slow...do anyone know whats the problem?

the carb? ive experince some wave s is able to go at 120km/hr..

I'm using Racing 8-legged rims, 80/90 both, Leo vince, 55kg rider

I easily cruise 80km/h(minimum throttle) and max throttle 100-110km/h only...

My wave meter is digital(no meter cable) and accurate to a car.

My thoughts are that the rims and tires are too heavy...

You make me worry too about mine as my specs quite similar to yours just that I'm not on LV and my max is 100km/h. Vibrations quite strong on the front that my headlamp alignment actually shooked out of position and I went to rectify it. Still its quite bad so wanna know what are the common faults to look out for.

Vibrations can be due to wheel bearings. Why not u just send it to the workshop for a check-up? Do ride slowly in the meanwhile.

Went to Hou Heng, changed shocks and chain guard. Boss said the vibrations is norm and told me even if I change the head fairing, it'll come back. Could be from engine area. Somehow my buddy's wave which is identical to mine and has higher mileage doesn't have this problem. Weird..

I wonder who to go to in SG for this. Ah Chong?

:btw: my FC seems to be 30km/L for stock with sports rims. Seemingly scary. Think I have to try another tank and see..

30km/l is indeed a bit too scary for Wave. Hope u can get all the problems solved soon. :)

check with u guys, wave if use gpr pipe etc, issit legal?

Depends if the exhaust have certification for Wave or not. If yes, pass the inspection and it's legal.

Ultimately I'll want Akrapovic/ 2 Brothers followed by Yoshi if they are legal and going at what LV is selling with cert. 500+ buy LV pipe and inspection hmmm :nono:

Actually ride height and stiffness depend on yourself, CG lower would be better of course. The theory of shocks are that front and rear must actually work together but most S'poreans are ignorant about that or just choose to ignore that like me. Its like 4 wheelers setup. Rebound/compress ratio etc else you won't get the even one.. Hence I have been considering USD forks to complete my setup for normal use.

You can try to tebok or kopek

Tebok is pushing the stopper all together

Kopek is removing the stopper

Does kopek makes the sound of the exhaust extremely loud?

How many stoppers are there in the original stock exhaust?

Dun want to attract unwanted attention on S'pore roads.

Any place recommended to do kopek? in S'pore or JB?

Thanks!

just curious, when you fix a leovince pipe on a wave, its just plug and play? or have to tune the carb etc. getting the pipe next week so am curious. :D

Must be LTA compliant/approved. Otherwise even with cert, u walk into inspection centre also won't pass.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.
