Dunlop should be below 400 shinko below 300.

Dust cover is to protect the wheels bearings from kanna water and dust.

Do change the wheels bearings/brakes/ if needed

I do understand when ppl asking for servicing and got no ans/reply.

Taking care of the vtwin engine is important, repair job will be costly.

The neutral light is ok? Previously my steed had a loose neutral light connection. The moment I sit on my bike to straighten it during warm up, the neutral light disappears and the engine stalls. I gotta lift the side stand to start the engine again. Then during a servicing at Planet Motors, I told Ah Chong this problem. He fixed the wires I think. Then ok liao.

The neutral light on my bike is weird. It lit up when i clutch in but when in neutral or any other gear it's just off.

Hi All,

I am a new steed bike owner as on today. A 14yr old steed. I have a problem which I would like to ask for advice.

Before I start or ride the bike, I don't see any oil leaking out from anywhere but after riding for a while, I would see some small patch of oil on top of the small cover below the ignition key. Is it the engine oil leaking from spark plug or else where near the engine? Can only see this after the engine is started. I used to have a old 600cc shadow (scrapped already) and it also has this problem.

Thanks

Pua

Gasket of the engine change? Amir from tachyon repair it for me.. for month i nv see that prob

Hello Jiansheng,

Good news, you're not alone. I've got the same problem. Well maybe NOT exactly the same by I know my engine oil leaking from the the top cover from one of the engines. It's not much of a leak. Perhaps just one drop of engine oil flowing down from the top engine cover downwards.

I've shown my mechanic but he says its not a big / severe issue and I can wait till my next servicing before getting it fixed.

Perhaps you should check it out with your mechanic.

Ps: I don't know if my above description makes any visual sense because I'm not a technical person lol!

I asked the boss from Daredreamer (http://www.daredreamer.sg) while I was fixing up my crashbars and he said he sells hard case saddlebags. The outside looks leatherish but its hard case. Suitable for steed also. He also sells the saddlebag support (or what you might call a bracket).

You can check out his website and give him a buzz.
