Hi bro. I understand that ur a Steed rider. For regular servicing

4 x spark plugs (normal/iridium)

EO (mineral/semi syn/fully syn)

I dunno which one to use for my next servicing onwards as I just got a Steed 400 last week. Pls advise. Many thanks in advance! :)

Hey congrats. Its a great ride.

I get a consistent 27km/L

Just get the normal spark plugs dpr8ea

In the manual, it states to change every 6k for spark plug and 12k for oil.

Iridium will be really expensive in this case.

For a piece of mind,

check your air filter.

Change your oil filter.

Flush your coolant,

change both pairs of brake pads if you find that braking lags. it should be able to stop abruptly.

Check your tires for its manufactured dates and depth of tire threads.

I do 5k for plugs, 6k for oil( cheap diy fully syn) 12k for oil filter.

Do a coolant level check and go for reputable coolants.

Shops would recommend 20w50 for oil visc but the manual states 10w40. With 10w40, i get better cold starting. Yes, it matters even in singapore.

For those who are wondering

Fixing back the air box is straight forward man unless you have tight bolts.

I can understand how bad the feeling is to part with a bike like this. Alot of effort has been put in but have to part with it for some reasons. I have 1 too that has put on sale. Shared the same sentiment. Unfortunately buyer tries to get a good unit of a steal price. All the best.

Bro, i totally agree, the COE also places a part, coz no matter how good you do your bike, buyer first few question will be COE how long more, if less then 1 to 2 years. that's the tought part in selling.

All the Best!

Hi to all fellow Steed owners, I have just recently bought a steed vse and I have to say I am loving it even though she is an old dame that needs lots of tlc. Appreciate all learned advise to where I can buy the following; wide/ape handle bar (the previous owner had a fall I believe and the handle is slightly out of shape); tall sissy bar for the mrs to rest against; forward clutch and brake controls and any other acessories please. Appreciate all the learned advise that I could get.
