anyone knows where i can make a custom tank? hopefully a 25litres kind

spark plugs, air filter, coolant, engine oil & oil filter, OWS flush, front forks, front wheel bearing, brake pads, brake fluid, alarm, carb washed, steering cone, rear brake light, fuel filter, jets, front tyre, dyna carb tuning, rear tyre, rear tyre inner tubing, rear wheel bearing, fuel tubing, alternator, rectifier, battery, valve clearance/top overhaul, chain & sprocket.

hey guys, need some advice. Currently im riding steed springer. Now got some knocking noise when accelerate, cannot go above 80km. Planet check engine need major overhaul $1200. Got lobang for cheaper repair? If not may thinking of scrapping the bike.

I think Planet's quote is one of the, if not the cheapest around in Singapore, unless you can get buddy price from another workshop.

 

Knocking during acceleration means the valves are hitting the pistons, and everything including con rod, bearings etc have to be changed as they need to be assembled and break in as a set.

 

If your COE is a long time till expiry and you've done up your bike nicely then it's feasible.

 

If scrapping please let us know... I'm looking for original parts too. Was about to go to Boon siew/Chong aik

bros, i just got a steed. for basic and routine servicing, what are the things I should service?are these still applicable for steed?(rode a phantom before so not very sure if it still applies)

1. engine oil(is it still 1.5bottle?)

2.spark plugs(phantom has only one. steed has 4?)

3. anything else to change?

 

I also need to change my bike tires. what is the recommended model and how much should I set aside for it?

First servicing? I suggest you go to someone who knows his stuff and can advise you on what needs to be changed, what you should look out for and what are the things you should do regular maintenance. you should go to Rosli. Be prepared to wait though. subsequent servicing you can go elsewhere.

Of course I trust my skills. I ride alone cos I don't trust the competency of the driver next to me.

Changed

1.front n back tires

2.coolant

3.engine oil

4.spark plugs

5.air filter

6.re-wiring of the lights

Total cost was 533. Not sure if it's steep(really very high of you compare to phantom) but I thought he was really very good and very professional. I was very impressed with the care and meticulousness that he put in for my bike. 10/10

 

One qn:my right signal(front and back)doesn't blink but just switch on for the entire journey. Any ideas how to fix it and what's the problem?

Hope you didnt have a veeery long waiting time at his shop! haha Yes his price quite steep. but he treats every bike that comes into his shop like his own. but trust me, if those are the only items he asked you to change, those are the only items you really needed to change. nothing more.

 

Rosli did your signal for you? go back to him to redo your signal. Piece of cake for him i'm sure.

SOLDSteed VLX400 for sale.

 

COE expires 11/2015 and renewable for another 10yrs. Left 3yrs.

View at Woodlands.

Comes with Givi E21 side box. VLX VTX/VT 600 Service manual will be given.

Bike underutilised for past two years.

Only ride max 5 KM per day just to keep the bike running.
