Nice meeting you econbizer.. Nice bike you have there.. Next time my treat..

As for the bike, they call that "suicide shift".. Good for show bikes as the bars will look super clean, but in reality it's pretty dangerous on the road IMO. But no front brakes is really suicide..

Also known as suicide clutch

All as well, ends well.

KeV, any idea where the front brake can be modded to for this bike?

u mean this bike?:

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=88012&d=1232695096

or Steed?

If you mean the bike in the pic, there aint no front brakes...

Only throttle cable running out from the grips there...

If you mean Steed, any other creative ideas may hv to look for X-ilED...

I aint no HD nut, but just my hunch hw it works, correct me if im wrong.

The clutch lever is just by the grip with the cable going ard the stick shift.

yeps. pull in the clutch lever like what u will normally do on your handle bar and then shift the whole stick front or back depending on the configuration.

there are other ways to configure such a set up. wiring the clutch to the foot shifter then jus shift the handle as u step to clutch in.

one of the reasons ppl do such a device i believe is to lessen the clutter on the bars... for the ultra clean look... russell mitchell of exile cycles have this internal clutch.. the same as an internal throttle ... how it works is u twist the clutch side grip to clutch in.

Can't wait to see your 'make-over' bike if you decide to mod it!

Actually the better way is to mod the clutch with gear shift to be like Honda wave type.. So you will only need a lever.. But easier said den done..

We met.. and then found out that a VLX backrest doesn't fit on a VSE! Pity!

aey?

Thought the backrest is universal for the models?

Thou I know for the earlier versions, may hv to retro-fit..

Maybe you can try Ah Ann @ Jln Buroh, his scrapyard, last went, got a couple...

Or last try, with David at TheBikeYard @ Tractor Rd there...

Otherwise, you may to search ard for aftermarkets ones, like Givi?

Ya... I think the rear mudguard of VSE is longer than VLX. I reckon the fitting points are different.

How time flies...
