Speedo, shld hv, but for the sport rim, you maybe looking for a needle in a haystack. & you may just hit dead end. Not to pour cold water, but I did search high & low before luck bestows.

However, sadly before I can dismount my sport rims, especially my rear's, the spokes were stolen hence I couldnt replace before pushing into shop:dot:

 

Last checked with ah Ann, he didnt hv much Steed's barang left, not even @ thebikeyard.

But still worth a try to check it out with them.

to the bro on top, springer is the newer one before end of life of steedif i am remember correctly..from VLX-->VSE(FN-FP, dun think i see FQ tho)--> Springer( mostly FQ plater) Springer as name suggest got two coil spring type at front fork.

Anyway, would like to ask something. reading this thread, seems like steed parts/spare are hard to come by. True?

 

Coz would really like to get one...few up for grabbut scared parts got problem

Oh yeah met him at Rosli's shop the other time.. Ended up hanging out with him to mod our bikes.. Haha.. Kinda supurised that he sold the bike at such a low price cos he bought at $4k+ and change most of the wear and tear parts.. That seat cost him $200 to wrap man.. Haha.. But he happy riding his Sportster now..

Looking for OEM beachbars or aftermarkets?

OEM have to try Chong Aik/FJT/Eversuccess for new pieces, no gaurantee they hv any in stock.

If 2nd hand, think thebikeyard have a few pieces, check with David.

Hi All,

 

I am a new steed bike owner as on today. A 14yr old steed. I have a problem which I would like to ask for advice.

 

Before I start or ride the bike, I don't see any oil leaking out from anywhere but after riding for a while, I would see some small patch of oil on top of the small cover below the ignition key. Is it the engine oil leaking from spark plug or else where near the engine? Can only see this after the engine is started. I used to have a old 600cc shadow (scrapped already) and it also has this problem.

Hey, maybe you wanna bring it to a mech and check it out? I'd recommend Rosli at Eunos Industrial. He works with quite a number of steeds before. Could be some crack leak or something from the sounds of it. I doubt the EO will leak from spark plug but I could be wrong.

Thanks, I will send it for a check. I am just wondering if anyone else in the net has the same problem so that I can roughly guage what is the estimated damage to my pocket. :-)

Since you're there ask him to check what needs to be done and get an estimate. Then from there you can decide what needs to be fixed immediately or what can wait. Since you just took over, you won't know what happened to your bike, so best do a full system clean n you can monitor on your own from there. Better to start from scratch than to constantly have to check and rectify. Don't worry, he doesn't chop carrots. heee

I think around $200+? Depends on what kinda tyre you want also. The no brand never hear before kind I think a lot cheaper but those Metzeler, Bridgestone etc brands should be more ex.
