Finally got my STeed on June 26.

So far so good. :)

 

Just to side track..... reg the VT750 Shadow, I note that there are 2 models, the spirit & the aero.

 

Are the seats interchangeble? Coz I like the spirit's design but as I take a pillion often, the seat of the aero model will be better.

 

Of if not compatible, u guys think its possible to like buy the aero's seat & then bring it to a metal works shop to mod it to fit the spirit?

I suppose it should be minimal modding required, maybe to the mounting points / brackets? Thanks.

Eh, sorry had conjunctivitis haha. Spader, is it the red bike with raised tank? I dislike the look of the pillion seat leh...

Hello fellow Steed riders,

 

I have a steed springer. I am considering to replace the forks with another set of forks in stock condition as mine is getting old.

 

May I know where I can get replacement for "stock" forks. Anywhere I can get 2nd hand ones which are still in good condition? Like any workshop which keep 2nd hand parts for steed springers? I think brand new stock forks can be very expensive.

Scrapyard at sunget kadut selling complete fork set with headlight, handlebar, fender , front wheel, etc for $500. Basically just change your front bearing, if necessary, and ride..

thanks for the reply. I've checked with 3 scrapyards: ah ann, hup lee leong and bikeyard but unfortunately, all of them dun have fork for steed springer... :(

1) "res" is on top & "on" is below

 

or

 

2) "on" is on top & "res" is below

2)turn anti-clockwise is on,means "On" is on top.. Just dug out my spare tank to check.. Haha
