Just called up 3 companies for insurance quotations too

AXA

TPFT - $680

TP
w/o
FT - $428

MITSUI

TPFT - $1000.45

TP
w/o
FT - $834.60

NTUC

TPFT - $1030.26

TP
w/o
FT - $661.28

With AXA being the lowest cost, should i just take it or is there any other stuff to consider?

anyone have the latest quotation?

18yrs old, p plate.

most of us are not working in insurance company, how to give you quotation?

you need to provide information about yourself, the bike and the type of insurance you intend to buy so as to obtain a fairly accurate quote from our insurance advisors in SBF.

18yrs old, p plate, probably i'd say between $1,000 to $2,000 for a low and high estimate respectively.

would that figure be helpful? i certainly won't think so.

1 thing to note about axa insurance. though they have the lowest premium rate around, but they will take damn long to do the paperwork.

they will take over 2months just to send you your policy papers, and also about the same time to get your refund if you cancel your insurance.

claims-wise, haven't got a chance to try, and definitely hope not to get a chance too.

insurance premiums jump is only for those just pass their license this year 2007. those previous years remain same..i suppose this is due to the amount of accidents we motorcyclists have contributed. premium has actually increased to AROUND 850 for 2nd / 3rd party (not sure) PLUS 250 pro rate for those below 20. 150 for above 20 YRS OLD..

i believe this is to deter newbies who who still have mind of kids( for those below 20) from getting a bike without thinking of the consequences first and start to whack here and there

hope this can be a rough guide

NB: i am not an insurance agent. these are just my views. please correct me if it is wrong. the figures mentioned are those quoted by the receptionist of the bike shop i bought my bike from. the values are of mitsui insurance.

wah jialat sia -.- that's totally not fair lah like that might as well raise the age limit to get bike license to 21 years old rather than give us false hope to get a bike before.. haiz ~
