Gas input-wise and the fact that taxis are also using the vehicle is perhaps personal, how u see the thing from another angle. In fact, maybe thats why prices are lower for these models. For me, why not. :cheeky:

2003 - R1 '03 (FW 5762)

2004 - VTEC II (FV *8)

Here is a list of car make & model use a taxi in Singapore

 

The Standard ones

Toyota Crown, Cedric, Mercedes-Benz E-class, London Cab

 

The common ones

Toyota Wish, Honda Stream, Honda Airwave, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Magentis,

 

The less common ones

Toyota Hilux, Toyota Corolla Axio, Toyota Camry, Skodas Octavia, Volkswagen Touran, Peugeots, Citroen and Fiats

 

The least common ones

Toyota Corolla Fielder, Honda Stepwagon

 

The unique one....there is only one

Toyota Liteace panel van

 

The ugliest one :angel:

Ssangyong Rodius

 

With this list, now you know what car not to buy :angel:

but if is cheap also not bad,ut u always have to frequent to west side to pump gas....:giddy:

Alrite lah i suppose, always go JB pump also about the same. There queue here also queue. But at least there'll be more, about 3 more stations coming up.

for your info... these 4 car are use as taxi in singapore now...

CNG cars by default (not hybrid, too ex):

1) Honda Airwave 1.5

2) Toyota Camry

3) Toyota Wish

4) Honda Axio ??? honda??? toyota lah...

tat is correct,my friend was telling me he almost going for the prime axio taxi till he saw the tank,n comment after putting the tank there no more space at the boot already

U have to sacrifice space for cheaper fuel. Its good and informative. I also heard about good reviews from CNG user. Tempting to try but too lazy to drive down to Jurong for CNG top up every time.

I shall brain wash my bro-in-law to get the CNG. He stay near jurong island and works in changi. Oh gosh, i will talk to him this sunday and get him interested. He kinda scared about the tank exploding. Abit of kiasi type. :angel: Then i will further get more personal review from him. lolz.. :cheeky:

I heard from my friend that CNG cars are subjected to tax every year, is that true? Thats new to me, never heard before of such things so far. Anyone? :confused:

 

If it's road tax you are referring to, then you heard it correct.

:slapforehead: , you meant eventhough OPC car, roadtax supposed to be, lets say, $50. But if convert to CNG, wil hv to pay normal roadtax of afew hundred dollars? :faint:
