It is scheduled for Oct12 at Sentul circuit. Official website still states this race as TBC.

hope it happens...from here can see how far or near is the lap time difference between asia pac riders and WSS. though both r production 600s, bike spec is different.

Don't just break your laptimes, SHATTER them!!

Thanks for the info. Initially thought its in Jakarta area. Neway the new season of the World SBK oredi starts. Seems that the ducatis and the suzukis are very strong. Wonder what happen to Haga. Worse still wonder whats happening to the previously formidable Honda camp.

Well, Race 1 Yamas were leading, but Max was strong on the 1098. Troy Bayliss got bad start, but managed to catch up. As usual, Max is pissing ppl off and took the inside of Haga. Haga was furious, lift his right hand, which I think he wanna show Max some unhappiness, but ended up losing the front and mini high side. Eventually, Max led the last part of the race and Bayliss overtook him at last couple of turns.

Race 2, Yamas leading again, but Suzuki Fonsi Neito managed to dice with them (due new tyre compound change or minor setup adjustments after Race 1). Haga not very competitive after 1/2 way due injury from Race 1, but Corser was strong. Max is as usual very consistent, with Ruben Xaus joining the first group. Can see that K8 very fast on the straights, faster than the 1098. Bayliss used too much energy in Race 1, could not really keep up with 1st group.

Yamas seems to kill the tyres earlier than the rest and would lose touch. Duc never won before in Losail, and Bayliss tried very very hard (with more than 5 mistakes that could had taken anyone of us out, and the track is astro-turf, slippery stuff) to dice thru the pack to bag the 1st win in Race 1, and his manager at a point was furious that he took too much risk at the 1st race of the season. Max's smooth riding took the 1098 to a good pace in both race, just that he dun ride like a madman like Bayliss. Max could be more of a factor than Bayliss in fact.

Bayliss leads the championship.

Seems like those R1 having similar problems like last year. Haga would initially ride like a madman to get in front before the tires wear out and he has to ride more conservatively. Neway based on the results, this year's R6 seems to be very strong. So at least the Yamaha fans got something to cheer about.

How I wish SCV would show live telecast of WSBK. They seems to be more fun without any dominant rider. There are at least 5-6 potential winners from every race.

actually, yamaha r6 was strong last year too. but parkes was left out with long term injury and west, well after 2 consecutive wins, and 1 3rd place immediately earned him a spot in KAWA motogp.

i hope haga does it this yr....he was so close last year.

Indonesian round scrapped

Eurosport - Wed, 05 Mar 15:58:00 2008

The World Superbike championship's Indonesian round has been scrapped, reducing the season to 14 races.

The proposed races in Sentul in October were not confirmed in a final list published by the International Motorcycle Federation.

It had appeared Indonesia's place was safe after FIM safety inspector Claude Danis declared Sentul safe for competition early this week.

However, it is thought the Indonesian government may have withdrawn their financial support for the race, although the FIM offered no explanation.
