wow..... martin, thinking of getting a sports bike and put box ah?

 

in my personal opinion, sports bike like zx4 should not put box... if need storage space, can use tank bag and side panniers bag... both are removable and will not spoil the looks of the fierce zx4.....

regarding the handling, at high speed think will have some effects.... cos no longer aerodynamics....

 

of cos, its up to individual wat to do with the bike..... give and take abit, put box then dun go fast loh... u happy can liao.... wanna put anything oso can.....

yup, i tried... went KL, fraser etc.......

its a sports bike, so the riding posture cannot expect much.... rather tiring.... luggage wise can use tank bag and side pannier bags....

guys, any idea when is a gd time to do valve clearance?

i got my bike in jan, til now have not do any valve clearance yet....

any recommendation for tat and approximate price? does doing valve clearance have to do tuning together?

fuwah.. tired man reading from page 1-28... hmm increasing interest in getting a zxr 400.. futhermore intending to upgrade since passed 2a liao bt sighz really need more info abt the bike man since got no one whom i noes riding the bike best if got a zx owner can do a "orientation" for the aspiring riders hehe..

 

just saw one at jb earlier.. i say the bike is to die for man...

with age comes probs.. what r the common probs for this bike?

Yo bro. I just sold my ZX4 I bought from Aldebaran (Jason). I just get tired of sport bikes. thats all.

 

but there are a few comments i like to make clear:

 

1) The parts to be replace just in case spoil are 2-3 time the price of CBR400

2) The power from this inline4 is more powerful compare to CBR (I used to rode CBR400N)

3) The fuel comsumption is about 18-20km/litre

4) A bit lighter then CBR but less compact (Bigger in size)

5) Maintainance is same with all 400cc

6) Price i bought from Aldebaran is 3k+ abit

7) Trade in to bike shop at 1.8k

8) Most shops doesn't even want to trade in ZX4

9) My engine condition is great thats why finallt abl to trade in after scouting around singpore!!

10) Problems with battery and switches. If really looking for one ZX4, make sure the electrical stuff are all orginal and don't any special Volts meter or any other things

 

Overall, good and obedient bike plus powerful engine. Good luck to you bro if you really looking for a cheap 400cc sportbike.

4.9k otr or machine price?

wat plate? my FP plate otr is 3.8. 2nd party insurance.

if i am not mistaken, those parallel import ones got powercut (speedometer can read 180kmph only) but those bought from evershine will not have powercut...thats wad the evershine boss told me neway :sweat:
