Anyone hv ideas to take care of the engine from the start? in order to prolong its life span n consistent make it power...

does always run at a slow speed abt 60-70 helps?

anyone got tips or opinions to share ?

 

and btw, wat kind of EO u all use for ur bike when running in? advisable to use full synthetic?

mineral, semi or fully syn its all up to ur budget & preference

For run-in no need to use so gd oil waste ur $ coz anyway will still be changin oil

 

recommended for normal (soft) run-in oil ichange interval:

1st 1000km

2nd 3000km

3rd 5000km so on and so forth....

 

So maybe if u wanna use fully-syn can wait till after ur 3rd oil change

for fully-syn change after every 5000km

semi-syn ard 3000km can change liao.

is it better?

mineral , semi syn and fully syn which EO ranked in terms of performance come first?

It's not the price difference for choosing mineral oil. :D

 

I used mineral oil for 50km, 500km, 1000km, 1500km, 2000km.

 

For 2500km oil change, I used semi-syth. Just hit 4500km, should be changing semi-syth again.

 

Anyway, is fully syth oil recommanded? Or should I just stick to semi-syth in future? :confused:

i use full sync for the eo for running in prefer it better.. cos its like smoother...i use esso 4t gold..

Hi all, just bought a Wave S. But i dunno how to run in properly. I now riding a max speed of 70km/h. My mileage still ard 250km.

 

1. Till wat mileage den i can increase my speed or in fact ride normally?

 

2. At times i will open throttle all the way for faster pick up. Will it affect run-in or do damage to the engine?

First, from now on dont fully open yur throttle that would cause sudden large combustion and reduce yur piston life spends...

 

Second, wat do u meant 'MAx speed of 70km/h'?? limiting yur speed?

 

Run-in is a warm up run/season yur engine before ridding in high speed or normal ride regardless of high speed or sudden open of throttle..

So you mean i can ride over 70km/h just dun sudden open my throttle??

i think i just wack my bike after i clock 100+ or 200km. :smile:

 

damage to the engine? Lucky my bike till now havnt disappoint me yet.

maybe its time to overhaul soon. :sweat:

the shop advise u to maintain yur speed at 70km/h till u hit 1K km that is acceptable.

 

I dont meant u can slowly increse yur speed limit to yur engine limit. I meant dont wack yur throttle as it could shorten yur engine life.

 

U can maintain yur speed 70km/h to 90km/h the most.. Many of the wave riders just run-in for 1k km. If u are serious of yur bike and would like to ride long time it recommended to run-in 2k to 3k km. I know it deadly slow while speeding at 70km/h after all it benefit yur engine

hi Bros,

 

im also a new owner of wave R bike.now still doing my running-in. what i do is tat i change my engine oil after 800km and max speed is 80 km/h.

 

when i reach 1600km, i will change engine oil again then i can go top speed.

 

how ok or not:

can open more on throttle but dont try yur luck to top speed at e moment. maybe when u hit 2K

 

but some of my frens just wack the throttle and top speed when hitted 2k km

 

.... just think twice due to a short excitement but after all it yur own engine ..
