great stuff stanley!

have been using thick oils throughout since my style of riding is more relax and even on touring, seldom whack high rev... so really love the consistency maxma and motul EO gives...

can feel slight diff before and after change of EO, usually a bit rougher initially. after a few hundreds of Km would smoothen till 5,000km. i reckon can stretch till at least 6,000km mileage but never did that before.

also, generally hear from most sports bike riders that thinner oils works better for them...

eh... nothing very great.. just a lotta words nia

Just sharing my personal opinion and experience. No right or wrong. Gain from other, use it, experience it and learn is whats most important.

I just found something interest from my last oil change. My prev maxima 5W40 managed to last up till around 5500km before I actually can feel rough. The EO before that of the exact same grade, only lasted around 4000~4500km. Thats almost 1000km more! But i noticed my riding style is much different between this 2 EO changes.

The one which lasted less mileage, riding style is mostly commuting with weekend high rpm blast. The one which last me of a higher mileage is of about 98% NS highway blast. Seems like this ultra smooth thin oil actually performs as well, yet last longer with harsh riding....

Ride hard & safe...

Per Bottle $24!! I don't bother much abt the price cause the more u fork ur money, the better qualitly u get!! That's only from my 2cents view.. Can feel e deiifrence right after u change it.. Much better if u change the oil filter as well:thumb: Previously use Esso gold, quite gd but not compare to Royal Purple:thumb: :thumb:

Let u in on a well known secret, the RP car oil is available locally at retail price of S$11.90/quart only, can the bike oil be double that price? This product has been MO'ed to death in SBF in the past.

been using Mobil1 since my first bike..excellent n smooth gear change n will last u more than 6k mileage..

If you haven't tried other brands, you won't know if there are better ones out there :thumb: While M1 MXT4 is pretty good stuff, it is also quite pricey for what it is.

For similar price, the market has ester based fully synthetics like Silkolene, Motul and of course Maxima. Ester base represents the best in engine oil technology.

Yes, you are correct. But i dun mind to spend my hard earn money on something tht's tested n proven..cos i know i'm taking gd care of my bike.

Anyway, time is almost there to change my EO, so i will try something new..maybe Maxima..since it got overwhelming approval from bikers here ;)

Ride safe.

yeah i also wanna know is ows good ?

The typical OWS bundled with the plugs is "synthetic", while they make a much more expensive PAO based "100% fully synthetic". If one is 100% fully and more expensive, then the a lot cheaper one obviously isn't the same level, right? So what's going on?

Very simple, the same 3 level of products, say durain.

Salesman 1 call it: "budget", "normal" and "best".

Salesman 2 will call it: "best", "even better" and "best of the best"

So can you see that "normal" for one is really the same as "even better" for another salesman? The sad case is that the term "fully synthetic" has become just like the term "even better".

It all started in the 90's when big oil companies started arguing that certain 'high grade' petroleum base oils are 'as good as' synthetic base oils for 'general use'.

So they swapped the more expensive synthetic base for that cheap highly refined petroleum base and still market it as 'fully synthetic' at the same price before. Production cost reduced a lot, but sell same price, make big money. Lawsuits were filed but surprisingly they won. Now it become common practice.

The quality of the 'fully synthetic' product cannot make it for extreme applications (like racing and motorcycles), so along came "100% fully synthetic". Only a handful of performance oils are still true synthetic base and usually they will state clearly "100% fully synthetic" and "PAO" or "Ester" base. Hope this makes it clearer.
