hi crazytown, what windshield are you using? is that a powerbronze one? sliders too, where did you get them from? :)

Hi. The screen came with the bike, I think its a Triumph part.

There are also a couple of sliders on the bike above the Engine on the frame, says "Motovation" on them ( came with the bike also ).

The engine case protectors are from GB Racing ( UK ).

Thanx for the info. Will check out motovation.

Anyway, my friend has a problem with her street triple. The problem is that the engine will automatically cut off when she is waiting at the traffic light, with the bike clutched in. This happened about 3-4 times today. Any idea what could be a possible problem? Of course she would bring it back to Mah for a check. Just wanna see if anyone might have encountered the same problem and know the cause....

This started happening with my bike, it was only now and again then it was at the point that it would cut out every time without keeping the throttle open slightly, it was quite annoying.

I checked obvious things like electrical connections and clutch adjustment, but it had to go back to Mah. It had about 10,000 km on it at this time.

The mechanic cleaned and balanced the throttle bodies and changed the air filter.

It has been great since , holding a steady tickover of about 1000rpm. The throttle response was improved after the work was done also. It has 15000km on it now. Next service is a big one at 18000 and I need to start saving up soon.

Have to point out that it cut out with the clutch in or out, it didn't make a difference.

Changing the subject, I have got some Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres on the bike now, no more chicken strips on my tyres, incredible grip.....hope they last longer than 6000km though.

my bike comes with the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa. Good on dry road but I feel that the grip decreases tremendously on wet road... Feel so unsafe...

Hi RATS...

Im just back from the Bangkok Motocycle Festival...great turn out with lots of big bikes coming into Central World causing heads turning everwhere n of course the usual massive traffic jam...

also for those who have ordered n not yet collect their R&G Racing Prootection kit, please contact me...

theres 2 more speed triple kit yet to be collected...

and orders for next R&G shipment will arrive on 20th Feb so place yr orders now..

Cheers!!!

I am actually planning to manufacture rearsets for the triple but not sure will it be revelant for a naked bike..

the advantage is its adjustable and u can adjust to a height u feel comfy in and also during rain ,the pegs are grippier n will not be as slippery then the original footpegs

heres is a pix for the Triumph Daytona rearset

Riding in the wet is so unsafe anyway, never mind pushing tyres.

I was along the PIE recently, between Bukit Timah and Lornie Road during an horrendous down pour. I was in the middle lane taking it steady , a car in the fast lane was jusy ahead , a truck infront and a car behind me.

Suddenly the car in the fast lane hit an area of pooling water ( pond ), and I was stuck in a huge breaker of water. Couldn't see a thing for what seemed like ages but was probably two seconds. Couldn't see a thing.

No idea if the truck had slowed down, I didn't want to shut off as a car was behind me. Totally terrifying.

I hate driving around traffic but this is the way it is.

Yeah the rains are getting more and more crazy these days.. just encounter a thunderstorm just now at yishun... in a car, the visibility and control is already quite bad... can't imagine on the bike... even for the more experienced riders... Ride safe guys!

i refuse to ride when raining... life more important

I also don't like to ride when raining. Buy sometimes no choice cuz already outside and stuck in the middle of nowhere...

heres my 2cts worth on tyres...tyres like the Pirelli Diablo SC2 or the Michelin Power 1s are leaning more towards a track tyre hence theres very little grooves along the sides and the water grooves doesnt cut thru all the way to the sides hence riding in the rain can be scary especially when theres a film of water on the surface of the road, chances of aqua planing is higher as the water grooves doesnt push the water out cleanly towards the sidewalls.

I suggest tyres like Michelin Power Pure or the Metzeler M5,def performs better in the wet as its primarily a road which can perform not too badly for trackdays.

Heavy downpour? i will find the nearest shelter n wait...risk not worth taking...

Interesting, thanks personified...had a look on line at the reviews on the ones you've mentioned plus a few others. Think I'll be going for the Metzeler Sportec M5s once I've worn the OE M3s out on my Speedy, they look good, especially with the multi-compound :)

As for me , my next tires be power pure. Too many first hands testimonials from other riders that it sticks like glue and riding confidence is boosted by it too.

Was down at the Handle Bar last night on Malan Road.

Next weekend is the last weekend before the bar closes and relocates to Sembawang, next to Bottle Tree Garden restaruant, near Sembawang park.

The lease on the land expires at the present place but the rumour is that the bar may reopen sometime soon. An end of an era, I enjoyed going there , having the bikes ride through the bar. Chris's joice of music is questionable though and I ain't a Harley fan but it is the only bar in Singapore deicated to bikers and will be sorely missed.

A couple of cracking KTM's there last night.

Next week is the last week and next Saturady night will be one storming party.

I won't be along though as I'll be back home in Thailand for the week.

Ride on!

Had heard it was closing, didn't know when. I don't go there much as I'm out at East Coast but do head down from time to time. Burgers n BBQ are good, not to mention the two-stroke driven Frozen Margaritas! ...I'll have to keep an eye out to see when they're open in Sembawang, although its not somewhere I'd normally go to (if you happen to find out when they re-open, perhaps drop a note on here?). Anyway perhaps it'll be an opportunity for a ride out sometime.... ....in meantime I may pop down next Sat eve to help send them off. :)

Hi guys, is Mah the only place that brings in zard exhaust? For those who fixed it, how much does it cost? Thanx!

When you buy your bike from mah, they usually offer a 30% discount on their accessories, not sure if they will give 30% for the exhaust, but some discount should be given..

The price for zard varies between the 2 different ones they carry, the satin black and the CF finish.

Satin black is the LTA approved one while the CF is not.

Price if i remember correctly is 1350 for LTA approved and 1580 for CF
