Dear riding bros/sis

my name is alan. i am writing in cause i felt i have to.

my dad is crazy over cruisers. from riding vmax to shadow to harley, he has shown me the will to live on and to overcome obstacles that may befall you.

it is love for my bikes that kept him a strong, independent and passionate man.

Unfortunately his riding days are numbered, he is now stricken with an irreversible stage g brain cancer that causes his brain to bleed internally.

he was found lying unconsicious in his blk by a passer by. it had been two days and he is still in coma only to live through tubes. To be told by the doctor, he has got these few days to live. he is 60.

As a son, i took on a passion for bikes through him. without bikes, he has nothing to look upon the next day. At days of his worsening state, he still persuaded me to get him a crusier, i refused caused of his condition.

Now that i felt guilty i had stopped him from riding and probably will never see him riding again. i still remebered the days whee we will rode together to penang(with the scooter group) and phuket ( just me and him). the only thing that made me smile when he rode his cruiser it is always his happiest moment.

The day i bought him a shadow 750, his expression gleamed with smile.

(will post photos of him soon)

the moment he sat on his new bike, he told me to take a photo of him and he will decked is bike with all sorts of accessories.

Looking through his belonging, i found a CV when he applied for a job.

in he hobbies column, he indicated chopper riding as his passion and nothing else.

Doctor had told me just today to make preparation, the only thing that i want him to bring along is his biking photos and his huge colllection of elvis Cds. and possibly a convoy of cruisers to honour his love for choppers.

Although i might not know you guys as i ride a non cruiser bike.

I hope that can be somehow a lttle request from you guys if my dad has to depart in these few days.

I do not know how possible is this.

I sincerely hope that keep your dreams of bike riding cause its bike riding that makes my dad strong and sincere to himself.

he had lived his life fullest, all i hope for him is to get better but it does not seem the case at this moment

thank you for reading! will post pictures and his health status tomorrow.

You've done well! I'm sure your Dad will be so proud!

Do spend more time by his side to talk to him even if he is in a coma.

The ears are directly wired to the brain and i believe he can still hear whats going on around tho its never been proven scientifically.

Besides, i guess he will be happy to have your company.

Dont mean to depress you now but i made this choice last year, i was caught in a similar situation. And to cut the long story short, I made a decision to bring my dad home as i think he would have preferred embark on that final journey from home rather than the hospital.

Be strong for him , those around you and yourself.

Keep well and ride safe.

Hi Alan

I never thought that I will see your posting in here again since the last time we rode with you both father and son to Kuala Lumpur together. However your posting come with bad news rather than a happy one. Your dad enthusiastic spirit for cruiser and Elvis is much admirable among the guys in the group. Whatever happens, please do keep me inform so that I could keep the people in the group informed about Mr. Robin. Nonetheless, my deepest condolence to you and your family.

Regards

Sad when I read this, and I've cant type anything to console the TS. I cannot represent the biking community.

But do let Mr Robin knows, that I wishes him more happy riding, whereever he goes.

And instead of a convoy, will you be able to move him nearer to a window so some bikers may blow their exhaust for him to hear?

Dear Alan,

I would personally think that you, as a filial son to your dad, has achieved much.

Buying a shadow 750 for him, riding with him all the way to Penang / phuket.....

Do not brood over what you have not done, instead be solaced with what you have done. You have accomplished much my frend and I respect you for that.

I offer my deepest condolence to you and your family, stay strong man.

dear all,

i am touched by all ur sincerity. Yes! miracle does happen and i hope it will be forever.

The head neurologist when we first met him after his admission mentioned he will be wasted. our family was given 2 options to op him and clear the clogging in his brain which will result in instant fatality or a successful op which will keep him an vegetable for life? it was a hard decision to me and for my family.

what is saddening is he was discovered lying unconscious by a passer by. That will be it a coroner's case despite his history of sickness.

Again, the doctor told us that if it is under coroner's case, they might conduct an autopsy upon his depart. My family strongly disagrees, as my dad will not like to be autopsized. Now we are pleading for that if anything to have happened.

On the fact that he was not assualted as we can prove that he fainted at many occasion due to his brain cancer.

Putting all these aside, miracalously!!!!

my dad opened his eyes for the first time but his iris is focused on somewhere else. He could respond to our calls but fidgeting his fingers and moaning.

That was a moment and ah hr ago, he did the same.

Was told again, thou my dad's left brain is severely clogged, there will be sudden nerve twitching which result in sudden muscle reaction.

Though it sounds logical to me but i believe he ie getting better.

I asked hime, " Get well soon! and you will be doing chopper riding again!!!!!.

He opened his eyes and nodded his head.

Well, on the contrary, as what had happened to my grand parents, before they depart, i remembered they will have sudden reaction and was well for couple of hours but sadly did not liv ethe next day.

I of course will not like to think so. and i believe he will get better.

praying hard!!!

its 2.30 am, will be heading back to visit my dad at 4am. I should be geting some rest.

will update on his condition again.

I will send him all of your blessing and he is one of the forummer but do not know his nick. its robinhood or something.

I am sure he will be happty that he has so much well wishers.

Once again, i thank everyone for their concerns and hope we need not have the convoy at all.

I will post the pictures of him in his riding days in the morning as i am lack of sleep.

Have a good weekend everyone and ride safe.

yours sincerely.

there's a church in woodlands called Lighthouse , that conducts Miracle service every sat 7pm. I hv seen many miracles there, curing uncurable cancers is one of them. Many who are cured become so stricken with awed, they stay put to this church for many years & give testimony every once awile. And

its not just 1 case - its plenty of cases.

If u believe in an almighty creator of the universe, u shld believe in miracles too....then u shld take a look.
