I need the help of 2 people to proofread some FAQ answers on the future website of our team' date=' and to help me search the past 605 pages for answers and precise information on some topics relevant to our bikes.[/b']

This website will at first be a few pages to present our team and our bike, to post BTMO and BTWO information and to act as a promotional mean for our group to gather more riders.

An specific section of the website will be dedicated to hosting these FAQ, which will help us share the knowledge we have gathered on this forum, and make it available to all.

I attached a compilation of FAQ that we started working on last year but never really finished. We would go from there and this time finish it.

 

I need someone who's either comfortable writing in proper English or able to find and hunt for specific information from the 605 pages. If you can do both, it's even better.

You will need to be committed until this project is finished, and it will require your attention a few times a week (maybe every 2 days ?).

This role is perfect for you if :

 

- you have a lot of knowledge you want to share and you feel confident about what you know on our Pulsars

- you're a newbie who wants to know his bike and discover useful info bout it

- you are bored out of your mind and need something to occupy you

- you want to help

 

I can't manage it if there's 10 of us participating, so 3 is the max of people I think to make this easy to drive to a result.

I've started on something but it's going very slowly and I could use some help.

We need mostly commitment and motivation from the volunteers, we can then help each other in this small 3 people team to get the work done the best way possible.

So don't be shy, if you feel like helping, raise your hand Post here, or PM me / talk to me about it when you see me.

 

On another note, the logo/t-shirt design project is in progress, I have sent another round of requirements and details to some designers with the recent survey we did. I expect it will take 2-3 weeks to get the logo right, and you will be all consulted at each step (sketching, colors etc..) to give feedback on what is done by the designer.

I have approached T-Shirt printing companies in Singapore and I believe I have now a good idea of the prices and delays. It will take about 2-3 weeks or less to get the t-shirts done once we have the logo we want. Before the logo goes to print, a survey will be done to know your t-shirt size, your preference on the type of Polo you want and the color of the polo.

 

That's it, just an update and trying to help turn our team into something concrete outside of just this awesome forum thread

very sad and scary.

 

I'm in shock.. The water went up so fast and everything was washed away so easily like it weights nothing.. I'm just speechless... And you ask yourself, what about those who went to the roof and the water kept going up ? This is really scary..

I didn't watch this until now, now looking at all those videos posted on youtube.. people getting washed away, trying to help each other..

My brother said the other day, what is it that it's always in Asia something goes wrong with nature? It's always a tsunami, an earthquake, every year a country in Asia is hit really hard by some natural disaster..

 

What if it happened in SG ? Would you climb up a roof top, or ride your Pulsar super fast to second link ?

Great initiative. You can count on me for any help you need. Few hours a week??? Thats easy considering, I spend several hours a day on the forum. But honestly, proud of you O'ren and proud to be part of the gang.

I am no longer riding Pulsar. But I think the murtabak there is pretty neat.

To everyone new to the btwo tonight, MJ posted the exact address, it's impossible to miss because I found it by myself the first time, so no worries !

You'll see bikes parked on the pavement, and the blue plastic chairs of the cafe. And it's the only makan place under those blocks I think , so easy to spot from the road.

This person summary on convoy riding (not mine) to share with all :

 

Group Motorcycle Riding

 

We have been riding in convoys during some of our rides. A few key points worth reiterating would be :

 

- ride staggered i.e. first bike to right of the lane, 2nd bike to left of same lane, etc

 

- if first rider is the lead, do not overtake him and 2nd riders, etc shd keep sufficient distance to brake safely or to negotiate a turn left/right

 

- agree on the destination and route so as to cut down on miscomm

 

- don't sacrifice safety or break traffic rules just to keep the convoy intact. Better to let the riders ahead continue when traffic light changes. The riders in front can stop further ahead and wait.

 

- agree on rest points/top up points etc

 

- work out a system of communication between riders

 

Finally, remember that safety is your own personal responsibility. It is NOT the responsibility of your buddy or the ride organiser...
