BUT abit off topic. i just came back from MBS again. and i lost back $225 in my last game(really intended to leave after i win!), right after i've patiently built up the buffer.. si beh sway ah!

 

Haha, its very difficult to stop when you are winning, bro, whether it is MBS or Stock Markets. I have lost a lot of money by day trading in stocks. Everytime I do a winning trade, I think I have finally learnt how to make money but then next trade I lose even higher and then I stop trading for a long time. Then again itchy and go back to trading. The more you trade the more you learn how impossible it is to do day trading. Haha. Now I have finally stopped all that and have become a long term investor in Unit trusts

I wonder how you guys can pump 20L.. with the reserve OFF, the best I can pump is 16L. If you add about 2L of reserve, I'm not even close to 20. Is it the older tanks that can hold more

haha, i go there with a definate strategy in mind, and a predefined disposable cash roll. if i lost more than 3 times in a row, i'll leave. yesterday was reallllly unlucky just like last sat.., but i finally managed to build up my '3 times loss buffer' of $225, so Decided to play one last game and then i lost my buffer on that very game!! -.-

i did it with the old p180 ug2, and again with the p200. they seem to have genetically identical tanks u have about 3l of reserve at least. give it a shot. But it's unnecessary if u dont patronise malaysia fuel.

haha but it's not at the malaysian customs that u need to declare. i remember i paid duty for petrol once. i first time mah, kiasu bring container. but lucky was let off with a warning.

think ur 'Ron 55' needs to pay even more tax each time. Cos it's unspecified petrol grade. maybe bomb grade :X

Now that's more like it. No point in throwing crazy numbers outhere guys after all, the manual holds the truth. If the tank could get in 20L of petrol, it would be specified.

Definitely buying property, either short or long term beats a lot of the other investments outhere. But in Singapore it's insane.. To be able to buy you'd need to have enough cash to actually not need to invest..

 

As for being a real estate agent, it's a lot of work and your conscience needs to let you do it... Lots of scams, easy targets, lots of weird things going on between agents, owners and even so called agencies.. The gov is regulating all this more and more but it's still a very scammy market.

 

Humble advice on investing: save first. Save save save save. Work, get the money in. Work a bit more, young=can tahan so work. Save.

 

Once the savings start looking like something, buy something that'll last and grow in value (a property a house an apartment a piece of land, whatever). It doesn't have to be in Singapore! Many countries allow foreigners to buy properties, given a bit of paperwork, a bit of getting off one's ass to make it happen.

 

Rent it or let it sleep and grow in value with time, up to you. Come back 5 years later and be grateful for it's new value and your tenacity that made you accomplish it.

 

Probably less exciting than trading or gambling, but steady and impossible to miss.

Talking about investments. I lost 30$ today

I always hook up my staff pass to my belt and it never falls off.

Today after reaching office, I see my staff pass has flown away during the ride to office.

 

My company charges 30$ for a replacement card
