hey guys.. i feel very hard to push my bike out of parking space and sometimes i tip toe a little.. just a slight bit.. and i know for sure shaving seat is good for me.l but will it affect the handling of the bike when it moves?

 

Very small improvement in handling as your center of gravity is brought lower. Very very very small improvement.

 

Your butt might be a little sore after prolonged periods on your bike, though.

thinner tires will give you higher speeds at lower rpm...

i lost a cool 5km/hr for the same rpm(maybe more) when i switched to 110/70 and 90/80...but how to say arh, more twitchy so like want to keep going down down down and scrape main stand, budden the old 120/80 was better at higher speeds. more stable. if u want back ur 90km/h maybe can change sprocket size. a 15 front or 37 rear shud suffice.

partly true....i nvr tried to squeeze my throttle more to see its true potential....

 

u might be running lean, because engine rpm at speed is only affected by the chain n sprocket size/wheel. If ur engine might not be producing enough power to over come the LOAD (Drag n rolling resistance) at a given RPM.

have u tried tuning ur AFR yet? does the tachro starts at 0? :X

no, not hippos n elephants, more like sharp nails swarming down from the sky. ouch!!

went jb 4 breakfast dis morning around 8am. it was drizzling. but when im about to move off from jb, heavy rain started 2 pour. after wdland customs, worst. but i still made my way to SGH to visit my dad despite the heavy downpour n d very poor vision. just got back frm SGH. my saddle bag is filled with water. but i didnt c any fishes inside. dats how heavy d rain is. im quite suprise myself. usually, its not like dis.

Thought today want to use Xado Very Lube Anti Carbon & replace spark plug ....

My deep socket wrench cannot go into the right spark plug..& of wrong size ..have a 17mm but actually need a size 16mm

Yup my tacho starts from 0...not yet tune my AFR...

wah, can go fishing. d doc said my dad got something like very low blood pressure. he also suffer difficulty n breathing sometimes and often faints. hes been going in an out of sgh at least once a year.

If i pass, i will get a temp license on the spot right? can i buy a bike with that temp license?

After asking around, alvinyansg adviced me to buy my new pulsar from UM.

Now that the COE has decreased to 2,013 -*according to onemotoring.com.sg*

how much would u all estimate the price of a pulsar 180 & 200 OTR will be without insurance?

 

Ive noticed, pulsar 200 indicates " oil-cooled "

what does it mean? is it alot more of a hassle to maintain?

 

Those ppl who got their new bikes from UM, did u ask for a discount?

did u ask for free gifts?

i want a extra helmet, raincoat/jacket, box.

could i possibly get all these for freegift?

 

sorry for the sudden bombard of questions, guess im really excited and almost falling off my chair! =)

once you pass your test,watch a safety video,get a chop on your result slip

then head to the TP counter pass them the slip with 1 passport size photo

pay $50 and they will give you a temp paper licence,TP will post you your licence in 1 week's time

with this paper licence you can ride

the price will depend on your insurance and if full payment or deposit and installment

not sure of the machine price

P180 UG4 should be around 4.5k-4.7k,P200 around 4.8k-5k and P135LS is around 4.2k-4.4k

this is just the rough estimate...

best to call UM...

still need to add in the misc fees like IU unit,road tax,transfer fee etc

for discount normally they don't give...

free gift wise, can try for helmet or rain coat or bike cover

for box, you plan to put what things inside?

 

P200 oil cooled means that it uses 1.2L of EO compare to 1L in 180...

welcome to SBT

price depends on the age and condition of the bike

180 should be 2-3k+ for a 3 year bike

200 not very sure...

each have pros and cons

but in general both models are almost similar

if you looking for speed then pulsar will not be the bike for you...

there are enhancements we do here to help in improving performance but at the end of the day pulsar is a tough commuting bike...

built for great FC not for speed...
