Hi yea i've been researching for a long time and believe that a P200 will be perfect for my usage! Decent speed with fantastic FC. Coupled with some modification will be my dream bike.

 

But like you said i cant be sure how previous owner treat his pulsar. Is there any where i can get a full check up on internal condition before i dive in?

hmm .. did u ask the person of the bike mileage and also accident free, done any overhaul (whole or partially), change the cone and wheel bearing, ... if the person is very honest to sell the bike ... surely he will inform you of the details of the bike.

 

I'm not sure of others but I have enough of 2nd hand vehicle issues .. yes i wll be quite fussy if i really intend to pay for the vehicle be it for short or long terms usage.

 

Pulsar is not a perfect bike but it can last longer if well care ....

I've met few uncles older than me .. using pulsar more than 5 years and their bike are in excellent condition. As for me i'm just using the bike as my main transportation for work and daily ride ... so reasons why I take good care of my bike for my own benefits... 3 years old and still going strong.... kekekekeke

 

Tear and wear are all part and parcel of having a bike ... sometimes you need mother luck too .. hmm ... you gain some you lose some .. that's life!!

what you can observe from the bike ...

 

ignition start ... take 1 crank or few times to start the engine running

engine sound during idle and also rev throttle ... any funny or rattling sound

tyres ... the condition and thread ... botak or not lah

sprocket and chain ... check the guage indicator position, chain slack, teeth n chain condition like rusty etc ..

wheel alignment ... rotate the wheel check the rotation, too tight ...

front disc brake .. rusty or bad .. rotate the wheel like above

paint condition ...

overall condition,,,,

test ride if possible ... a good seller will let you test ride

 

if you are experience rider you can detect any fault on the bike ....

guys,currently on the ferry back to singapore from batam...

good news and bad news...

good news is i got the address and location for the bajaj dealer in batam and also meet bro mark from batam...great friendly guy...and saw his 2 pulsars...1 mod to motard the other stock...

bad news is that cause the bajaj community in batam is very small the workshop don't stock up parts...even diaphragm also don't have...
