I guess they want to chop us where ever they can, haha, but its very clearly mentioned in the terms and conditions both MSIG and NTUC.

AXA I am not sure, but I guess it wont be different from the other two.

omg i looked thru the puslar manual just now and found that each fork leg needs 320ml of oil(applicable for p200 and above except 135cc)

oren said 180ml and when i asked UM they also said 180-200ml.

my word thats alot alot of difference. 140ml difference is soooooooooooooo much.

Take the manual recommendations with a pinch of salt, as they are for really bumpy and uneven roads in Indian conditions.

well i can sure take it with a few mouthful of salt...

if it is really bumpy in india, shudnt the oil be lesser so it wont be as stiff? here we are using almost half that amount LOL!

any takes on this?

i think the oil weight also shud be low since damping wud be a problem for higher grade oil on indian roads...

Didn't find the info on the manual when I checked for it before asking UM..which page ?

I think Rev might be right, maybe roads even needs less oil ? Sorry if I mislead you !

About the insurance, I think Axa is in a good place with 245 for third party + fire ad theft.

ur question before is abt to top up or to replace ... yes manual book stated to replace every 10000km for 330ml

Fork oil 330 ml.

31. Front fork Clean n lubricate Every 2500km

32. Front fork oil Replace Every 10000kms

so my guess is UM top up fork oil is around 180 - 200ml .... dats make sense

think lesser oil higher chance of bottoming out as the vehicle is allowed to sag more?

i think the 15w oil at UM is abit harsh. i managed to ask a guy over at UM long time ago bout this.

he used 150ml 5w motul fork oil in each leg for his ride(if i remember correctly) and said it works fine and dandy.

320ml could be for a pair of forks. Works out to be 160ml each side.

Not a Pulsar. But I could only guess why there is a great difference.

since robbedzombie stated on his UG4 manual book .. its 320ml per leg .. then it should be around dat margin plus minus depends on how the rider feel on his bike .. to have it slightly hard or soft ...

during my first yr riding i also did question the seniors here at forum n UM mech on the EO for P200 which stated 1150ml for normal eo change and not 1200ml as standard practice and also question on why when doing carb wash they use our own fuel to wash ... and worst previously they 'kapo' from other bike which i felt n saw at that time what they did was not a good practice ..
