I think majority of green cards(Work Permits, EPs, S Passes etc) are 1 or 2 years validity. Very few are given 5 year validity AFAIK.

Oh ok, don't really know the details of all the passes, mine is 5 years and yeah at the time it was very rare to get..

Got rear brake drum shoes from Heng Motors @ Bukit Batok / Clementi (36, Toh Guan Road East #01-33) for $20.

We are far from the sweet $13 price from Dickson road shop

He wanted to sell it to me at $25 at first..so if you go get yourself one, get ready. (@irahc78 in case you are still looking!)

The exact reference is ASK R23 S2N. They fit plug N play on the P200, unlike the ASK R23 Y2N which needs to be filed to fit.

UM charges $10 to change the rear brake shoe.

Changed my right Honda Fino mirror to a Pulsar 135 mirror, costs $18.

Also, apparently now servicing is $8, not $6 anymore.

And they ran out of Battlax tyres size 120, need to wait a few weeks until they can bring in more.

@O'Ren The Pulsar 135 Mirror $18 is for 1 piece or a pair? and it is Yamaha Fino not Honda Fino :)

Ah tek told me is $36 for 1 pair, guess $18 is only 1 side for 135 mirror

Gennosukes, want to meet for drinks some day next week to discuss and organize this ?

I can bring my laptop, we research some prices, plain flights etc, and hink about a couple of itinerary/destination options and budget.

We pick a date and then try to get the lurkers and act-like-they-didn't-see Pulsarians to react a bit more hehe..

In any case I am super keen to go.

pulsar noob here, really temping la guys this plan btw duke riders is what? is it the ktm duke riders?

how much is the budget? 200 enough coz im a budget kinda guy and we going via 1st or 2nd link coz i kinda hate jams. sorry for asking too many noob questions :cheeky:

Posted

Yes KTM bikes are usually referred to as Dukes so Dukers are kTM riders.

For the trip to Desaru, we will most likely go by woodlands so nothing To pay to exit, and for the trip itself I think all you have to budget for is petrol and food for the picnic and breaky.

Leaving at 8am ona Sunday there won't be no jam and we should be back before the late afternoon peak.

I'll post the distance traveled so those who need To can plan their petrol.

Just quote the trip post, add your name to the list of names, remove the quote tags and post it. If this will be your first trip just write next to your name "1st time MY" so we know and I'll take it into consideration and you will have support don't worry :)

Please ask as many questions as you want about the trip, it's normal to have lots!

@aikamai, jacket and knee/shin guards for you, skidding is pretty common, one can walk away from it without any injury if wearing the right gear. How much is the bike damage? Hope you recover quickly without too many bruises :/

yeah, but it was a turn + bumpy construction road + water/oil on the road so it's a comboooooooooo.

anyway, got my bike from UM after checking/servicing:

- handlebar bent - $36.00 for a new one

- labour costs for replacing handlebar - $15.00

- throttle cable - $19.50 for a new one

- engine Oil - $12.00 for 1.2l

- spray painting for scratched surfaces - $10.00

- servicing - $8.00 (increased from $6.00)

total damages: $100.50

as for myself, only left elbow and knee have some superficial wounds.

speaking of which, i want to change my tyres. any recommendation?

Cheap and good option is Dunlop tt 900 made in Thailand for p180 front and back will cost you about 120$ for both. Bridgestone is the best option but will cost another 100$ more

Cheers

Just discovered that wd40 works gr8 in removing sticker residue from painted surface. My bike's tank had couple of stickers by previous owner. I managed to remove them but there was that ugly greasy residue left. Wd40 saved me :thumb:

Yeah duro and Shinko are also good options but dunlop thread also looks nice almost like battlax :) Pirelli is also an option but I don't like it's threads. It's like sports bike's threads but don't look nice on our thin tyres

Speaking of removing residue, I used some kind of super strong industrial glue (the yellow one that get you addicted if you sniff it apparently..) on my jacket, and I'm having a hard time removing the residues.

Tried hot soapy water: nope.

Tried WD40 (my answer to all my life's problems), but didn't work.

Just tried Goo GOne : no luck neither.

Any other suggestion in the crowd ?

guys wat kinda petrol do u guys use for your pulsar? which petrol can get more with pulsar?

I recommend RON 92 for all commuter 2B bikes. RON 95 for sports bikes like FZ150i, CBR150 and R15 etc.
