guys anyone ever face this problem? while maintaining constant speed commuting my bike will suddenly jerk and throttle on its on and rpm will rise by itself like as though im throttling, i foresee clutch slippage issue but im not too sure :dozed:

False neutral, just have to change gear, very common issue with all pulsars

Hello every experienced tourers here. What speeds do you guys usually cruise at? For a 600km journey. Im hopefully joining a trip and they are travelling at 120-130 following the slowest bike which is me and another 200cc. Others all fjr fz1 kawa and blabla. Its together with my cousins. So lets say IF I want to go. Im not worrred about the tiring and time and heat or anything physical BUT IM WORRIED about the bike abit. Its a cold.night trip. And fully synthetic oil. I havr chain oiler fixed. Is there anything else to make my bike better. Fix a 16 teeth front sprocket? ??? Possible?

Bro, please drop the idea if they are serious going to keep riding at 120km/hr. Pulsar is not meant for that. 100-110 is still fine. Hari, used to ride to KL at those speeds, end up overhaul engine spend 400$. Gaban too known for touring, had to do overhaul. So unless you prepared to overhaul you bike again, my suggestion is not to do it unless you can stick to 100-110.

Also over-gearing the bike by modifying sprocket ratios too much may have a counter productive effect, like in my case, the pickup becomes so bad that there is no power in the top end, so cant even cross 100

no offence, this is just my personal honest view.

firstly, i really despise riding with superbikes if im riding a 200cc bike. especially a single piston n 2 valves. i cant even catch up with a virago 750 at speed of 150-160km/h while im going 145km/h with my standard hyo settings.and dats not my red line yet. but dats my problem.

2ndly, dun overstress ur bike at high speed especially long distances. some of us here brags here and there about going 140km/h and wat have u with their pulsars. dats their problem. if those superbikes really following u constantly for 600km, then they are forcing themselves to overheat their bikes. if not, they are going to hurt their bodies. u wana change to 16 tooth? u only lessen ur pickup. u can try if u want. not to scare u, its a fact.

Discussed. And still insist on me going. so theres will be split groups. The 1000s will go ahead and the super 4s and me and the runners to keep up at 110 cruise MAX. is that fine? Its not about the superbikes and so on. All is for fun and joy of riding comfortable taking pictures and filming peacefully. Of course the biggies will ram alternatelly.

Reasons are alr given above...

Please do take care if you are still new to this...

Please do not force yourself if you feel that you can't catch up,just slow down...

Your body and health is more impt...

Also please GEAR UP...

And most impt enjoy the trip...

u shud check with @atipo @fircyber @Charlton . We went for a trip to Ayer Keroh but i cant recall wad speed they were goin. Actuali e easiest way to find out is by travellin from 1 end of SG to the other (TUAS to Airport). Den u will know whether u are able to maintain at dat speed or not :D
