Just an update from UM visit about the high temp warning flashing.. servicing will be done on Sat.. assured that its electronic issue.. already informed UM about existing issues to be resolved.. hope this will be all.. thanks for the support guys..

 

TO BE DONE:

1) Change EO - appeared grayish black

2) Change spark plug

3) Clean carb

4) Change diaphragm

5) Check front brake

6) Check digital odometer which is flashing high temp warning

 

Also went to Unique.. they dun have K+N filter for P200.. but they do have Sinnob.. quoted $90 w/installation..

 

Make sure that the sinnob they have is the thick chain(520 pitch) 90$ sounds cheap and may be the thinner p180 chain

Any suggestions on cheap paint works? I need to get all the plastic parts painted i.e.

1)Tank shrouds

2)battery side and air filter side covers

3)Tail board

4)Headlamp casing

5)Front fender

 

 

 

So everything except the tank, haha.

The headlamp and the front fender not that bad actually so mainly the items 1-3 definitely need repainting. Any cheap suggestions? Need not be as good as the factory as long as its decent and needs to be red. How much does UM charge for these parts painting?

Ic Ic, me too not a big fan, but the 200CC is really awesome man for riding. Since I am only 2B and no intention of upgrading license, not much choice other than Phantom and Pulsar 200. Both these bikes are really awesome due to their power and the stability due to their weight and the lower CC bike and light weight bikes dont even come close in terms of the riding pleasure.

 

BTW, Quite a lot of YBRs for sale now. Gumtree has 2 new postings, haha

Alamak! I was at um too. I think I saw you. Were you the one who got the front brake pad and the rear brake shoe and the long metal thingy connecting to the rear brake lever to the wheel, replaced? I am the Indian guy who was waiting all the while haha. Unfortunately didnt remember that ns200 was there damn, I would have loved to see it

I went to powerwheel, bikeshop behind tampines safra and got the front brake calipers serviced and the brake fluid changed. Also changed the brake pads(I had carried the brake pads with me, that I had spare).

 

But unfortunately, the issue still exists. Damn! 30$ labour wasted. Actually before going to powerwheel I went to another uncle shop kim heng huat or something on the same lane and that uncle seemed very experienced, he told me that the issue cannot be solved unless you change the brake pump and the calipers too. He said although the tightness is there but its a non issue and not worth spending so much to change all those stuff. I wish I heeded to his advice. Anyways..

 

Changed engine oil to Motul 5100, 1st time had to buy 2 bottles since need to fill 1.2L haha. But even after the oil change, this bike at standstill it is difficult to bring to neutral. But if you rev the accelerator a bit then can. So I guess thats wearing out clutch plates, but I can live with them.

 

I think you should change your brake hose. The boss at powerwheel should know coz I approach him with the similar problem. lol. After I changed the brake hose and the brake fluid, problem solved. Im not sure if you have spoken to the boss or just approach one of the two china men. If you have not approach the boss, you may want to check with him again. He would probably introduce you the star performance brake hose. The last I went the star performance brake hose is abt $70+.

 

If all else fails, I think you can follow Alvin's suggestion as that would be the next possible problem of the tightness.

I went to um yesterday and showed them the problem, I mentioned that I had changed the brake pad also. After comparing 2 machines EO.. i think he is convinced that oil need to change.. there is no sign of yellow or gold in mine.. greyish black.. They have taken note of what I proposed.. Sat morning will be at Bukit Merah food centre lim teh and let bike cool down.. so once they open.. can start work on it..

Anyone wan to go there on Sat morning? hehe..

so far you n Mobilenerd has received bike NOT serviced ... eg EO n plugs not changed ... maybe David tots the bike has been serviced reasons why he stated it has .. which actually for u n mobillenerd its not been done yet ! ..

 

Basically we do saw at UM , most bikes before sale been serviced but som how its not on both of you ...

 

SO to UMPL .... do mind wif these feed backs .... customer service is very sensitive here !!

Understand that sometimes they may overlook and David is also trying his best to help me to rectify these problems..

At least I am glad to know that I am not alone and wun be labeled as difficult customer..

I don't expect a 2nd hand bike to be as good as a brand new one but at least be in acceptable condition ma.. normal consumables at least change to fresh ones.. any upgrade i will find on my own at my own risk..

i also don't expect them to put in aftermarket parts.. just normal Bajaj parts will do..

 

Hope UM understand my reasons.. some more ppl say Bajaj no good.. i reply them that Bajaj P200 is one of the best 2B bikes around.. got the look.. FC is great.. handling is easy yet steady.. 4T some more.. if need to change parts just go to UM coz they are the authorized dealer.. some more they are helpful if you have question to ask..
