Hey goofrider, nice to see you back. Read some of your posts in the early pages, very informative, especially regarding the sprockets, haha.

P200NS is open for booking, but delivery expected only in Oct I guess. Pricewise haha, gone are the good old days when you guys bought pulsar for what 3k? haha. Now P200NS will cost close to 8k, I guess.

LOL GoofRider ...

welcome back bro .. :)

Pulsar200NS .. machine price UM stated $4800 .. so basically OTR you should guess already right .. coe, insurance road tax, etc .. so oldbird like you for sure price just affordable as it comes with 6 gear, mono shock, RDB, coolant, comfortable seat, etc ... and no need to mention the HP as advertise always POP up whenever you peep this forum ... wkwkwkwkww

For like me, my age, riding experienced ... it comes around $6800 but since my current P200 still hv a good 6 year more .. will on hold for the moment and just make over my P200 to keep up wif 200NS .... wkwkwkwkkwkkkww

Normal cruising at does it take long to reach 110 or must give some time from 100 to reach 110? Fuel consumption how? I am tempted in your bike but 4k plus out of my budget

Erm bro. Honestly speaking i do feel the bike abit out of breathe when going upslope. But don't most 2b bikes feel that way when going upslope? But a simple down gearing at the correct speed can overcome.

My bike 100kmph at 7krpm only. Still got quite abit of throttle to go. U want accelerate to 110 i would say its nt that hard. I'm using p200 sized sprockets. As i cruise more than city rides. :)

Why nt u tell me ur most willing budget then i see whether i can make it nt

Hey guys.. just an update from my visit to UM on my P200 which was giving problems..

Made an appointment with David and reached UM at 9am.. bike was brought into the shop right away and checked thoroughly.. mechanic opened up carb, drained EO, changed spark plugs, check front wheel bearing, front and back brakes, meter and performed overall servicing.. a few parts were found to be in not so good shape.. parts were changed under warranty.. servicing and change of parts lasted hours.. but after servicing.. i felt an almost brand new bike.. the mechanic was honest to change a few parts which gave problem.. overall.. i would say that this is the bike which I am happy to pay for..

This is the type of honesty and helpfulness I expected.. thumbs up!

I would suggest you view the bike first.. I am not siding him but just that after looking at his bike condition.. its problem free.. serviced regularly.. most to most you only need to change EO only if you feel unsure.. there is nothing else you need to do with it except enjoy the ride..

The NS looks like a very sporty beast. But after looking at NS and then looking a our stock pulsar, to me our pulsar looks more clean, elegant, uncomplicated and classic beauty. Even after NS comes, our pulsar will still hold its charm, is my feeling :D

Me too interested in getting bike resprayed, but not whole bike only some plastic parts touch up. Like the tail board, side covers and tank shrouds. Don't want to spend a lot. Any ideas let me know.

1. Buy 150, 400, 800 grade sandpaper. Each about 3-4 sheets.

2. Buy aerosol spray can paint. gloss black is no. 30. matte black is 29. this job, maybe 2 gloss one matte.

3. Get mama lemon dish washing liquid.

4. Remove parts to be resprayed and wash off with mama lemon. Rinse and leave aside to dry completely.

5. Once dry, check and see if there is any scratches or dents.

6. Apply some mama lemon on the roughest sand paper and go through the whole part. Remove the top coat of gloss paint on part to be resprayed. (important!).

7. Wash off excess paint dust and dry completely.

8. Hang up item to be sprayed with wire and do two coats of matte paint on the item. Make sure you do a test on the nozzle first on a piece of cardboard to check the paint consistency.

9. Make sure item is completely dry. Each coat will take about 8-10 mins in the afternoon with no rain.

10. Paint two or 3 coats of black gloss. Again taking 8-10 mins between coats.

11. If there is any spotting or "orange peel" texture on the item, use some mama lemon and smooth sandpaper to go over it. Make sure the paint is completely dry before you attempt to do this. Rinse off once done and leave dry before reapplying gloss coat again.

12. Once you are satisfied with the results, do two or 3 coats of clear coat.

Looking at amount of work, do ensure you have ample time. If not then it will be easier to send in to paint shop to do. But if you have the time, this is a pretty satisfying project.

Thanks a lot moniberd. But unfortunately my skills are zero when it comes to spraying. I once tried doing it on exhaust pipe and did a really bad job, realised that I was spraying too close. Haha, spraying red on the main bike parts will be a really steep learning curve for me haha.

Do you know any bike shops that will do it for cheap, considering the area to be painted is really less, its only the tank shrouds, side covers and the tail board and also dismantling these parts is very easy.I don't mind spending like 100-150$. I remember your super four you got it sprayed black, did you do it yourself?
