It will lah bro. You can google for the actual physics, but just to give you quick proof. Let's say you put a tyre of half the circumference, the sensor is the same but now 1 rotation means half the distance covered but speedo and odo will show the same reading, but in reality the speed is actually half of what the reading shows.

I do calibrate my bicycle circumfrence to act with my chinamade speedometer.

Our Stock tyre 90/90 circumfrence is 1865.5mm revs/km is 543

And lets say change to 100/90 circumfrence is 1922mm revs/km 507

then like that if change tyre will be 6.8 % slow

so when speedo reads 100Kmh, true speed is 106.8Kmh

if change 100/100 .. wahh its will be 9.5 % slow

so when speedo read 100 kmh , trye speed will be 109.5 kmh, like 10kmh diff

just numbers:thumb:

so if front tyre change to 80/80

so top speed can be 150kmh ald:cheeky:

I expect COE prices to go up again when P200NS is launched. Whenever there is a popular model launched, there is a sudden rush of registrations since lot of bikers keep postponing their buying decisions. Last year COE went upto 2.6k mainly because of the FZ16 launch.

Now it remains to be seen how many numbers P200NS can be brought into Singapore in the initial batches. That will determine how the COE will behave. Its good news for people holding bikes with long COE. Bad news for new buyers.

Guys i'm thinking of chnage my Super 4 revo to Yamaha Fz 16 or Pulsar Ns 200..which will be a better idea?

Pulsar Ns 200 i don think will have after market exhaust in sg.

We are all pulsarians so obviously we will be biased haha. Best is you compare all the technical parameters, surely P200NS is better. Looks are subjective. Price is same. So the choice is yours. I think even FZ16 dont have aftermarket exhaust, but R15 have. Better to compare R15 v/s P200NS v/s CBR250. FZ16 is underpower and not in the same league.

But If I were you I will keep my Super 4 haha.

Last wednesday I was a UM and I saw one FZ plate UG2 going through full overhaul and I heard the service advisor giving the final quote to the customer over the phone. I heard him telling 1.3k is the cost for the overhaul. I was like WTH. He spent so much on an FZ plate UG2? He tries to sell the bike now its market price is 1.5k. Even UM is selling UG2 pulsars for 2.2K. So how to justify the 1.3k price for full overhaul with just 3 years COE remaining. He might as well have sold off the bike and bought a new one.

Quite subjective topic....

Personally if it's a Cb400 I wouldnt bother. If its a Wave, I might.

Wow just noticed your signature, you bought a ug1 pulsar 180:thumb:

Is it the one that was on sale in sgbikemart couple of days ago?

There was a really cheap ug2 in garage sales but sold already.

Mine is in sad condition.

No right mirror, screw thread gone.

Left pillion rest broke off.

Clutch lever loose

Right pilot light blown

Side stand loose

Top seal slight leak

Rear tyre worn

Exhaust guard one screw stuck inside

Seat wrap torn and had tape on it

IU bracket broken red taped to windshield.

Now it's about 30% there. Left with a couple of bits and bobs and the clutch plates and steering cone.

Badly in need of a wash and polish.

Wow! You have a quite big project in your hands there. I had bought a similar condition or actually worse P180 UG3 for 1.25k and spent about 1k on top of it, was really satisfying. Learned quite a lot of stuff in the process.

Most of what you have mentioned is external stuff. Mine many internal stuff had to be replaced:

Clutch assembly

Starter Motor

Magneto assembly

Meter

left side switch

right side switch

Seat rewrapped

mirrors

side stand

bulbs

battery

carb wash diaphragm change

exhaust welding

Speedo, clutch and throttle cables.

chain & sprockets and rear tyre damper

both tyres

spark plugs and eo change two cycles.

The only thing that I didnt open is the engine haha.

But finally sold off and bought this P200 without much top up of cash, so the process was worth it.

So yours is the original Ug1 with 18 inch spoke rims or converted to 17 inch alloys already?

Converted to 17" sports rims.

I haven't touched the carb or engine yet. That will come later.

Was hunting for a good FC bike as my last few bikes were bad. Mostly under 25km/L.

So this Bajaj is a refreshing change for me. Haven't rode one in over a year.

For tyres and chain/sprocket, battery and mirrors you can go to LAB, get the dunlop TT900 its perfect for P180, your rear sprocket will be 6 holes no choice but you will need to get the 43T. For front you can choose 16T for cruising or 17T for even more cruising :cheeky:

Y U NO BUY MINE? (targetted at moniberd)

Bro I told you long ago itself that its a waste to buy a brand new bike and sell it off in 1 year, you sell now also same price you get you sell after 1 year also same price you will get. If I were you I would ride it for 1 more year and take the juice out of it and then sell it off. May be wait for class 2 and then direct upgrade to an fz1:cheeky:

Ok :) btw, why top overhaul? What happened to the bike?

Just a check-up as it went over 45k. End up only paid for labour and gasket along with small items as my piston and parts were ok.

But just now at serangoon garden (chomp chomp) round about got hit by a red car. Thank god my side box took the impact (save my gf leg too) and I am able to control my bike. Stupid auntie who drove a big red car!

Glad to know you are fine. But still go and report to IDAC within 24 hours. You dont have to claim if you dont want to but you still have to report, just to be on the safe side.

My side box has no damage and we didn't exchange contact. After I maintained my balance, she exited the roundabout and I continue to ride. In this case, have to report? Didn't manage to see her plate number as she came from the back.
