guys, in some trouble. just now evening went down to bike, to find out that the IU unit cap was left open. then when i start my bike, suddenly the IU unit keep prompting "ERR". and beeping. i try to insert my card in, like no effect. must be the rain screw it up. any idea what other stuff i can do next? my bro say the IU unit MAY drain my bike's battery.

and yes, the 3 spots on the IU unit display are dead pixels which i found today, must be the rain... sigh

try drying in sun....then see what happen.

That err MSG comes when you insert a card upside down or if the card is spoil.

 

But if you are getting that MSG without any card in it, means your iu may be spoilt.

 

Iu is directly connected to battery so doesn't make difference whether you start bike or not.

You should go to vicom to fix it. If the iu is older than 5 yrs then no warranty, so will have to pay for the repair or replacement. I think new out is about 160$. Good luck.

See if you can get a cover for the IU to protect against the rain, just to be safe.

guys, today my engine stall halfway. not sure if it's due to lack of petrol. pushed to petrol station and pump 10L.

 

shake shake the machine, then manage to get it started, but very croaky. managed to ride to school successfully. however, the ride wasn't smooth. could it be lacking engine oil? not sure if that's the fault. last night when i ride was very smooth, only today morning.

There is rain water drain hole, you can see when you open the fuel cap. When this hole gets blocked then rain water enters tank.

 

Last time, when HKL cleaned the tank, did they fix the blocked hole? If not water will enter again.

Im experiencing problems with my acceleration:(

 

About 1 month+ ago, when i entered the highway and began to gear up and throttle. i find that the max i could go was 80! i tried squeezing the throttle all the way to then end even though i dont usually do this and had no choice and still wont budge.

 

last week all the way today it came again but slightly better coz i can slowly accelerate to 100 but sometime the acceleration to slow for overtaking.

 

i just changed engine oil and spark pluv last weeek. is there more i should change like throttle cable? would it help?! Thanksss guys in advanceee!

I realised that whenever I turn my handle bar, the cone bearing area will have some sound, like "click clock". Does it mean that the bearing is reaching its end of life?
