The rear wheel can upsize by 10. It depend on which model u going to get..

 

180cc - rear 90 can up size to 100

200cc - rear 110 can up size to 120.

 

You will need to change ur sprocket to suit ur wheel

i think Silverboi wan is jus reseal the O ring only.. so $45.

 

Firefox is reseal and replace New O ring. $45+$30.

i also confused liao.. changed too many parts already. i think i spent more money than any of you guys on changing parts. in the whole of my 6 mths riding pulsar, i did all these.

 

overhauled engine-$450

new tyres 2 rear and 1 front-more than $200

new sprocket and chain-$70 or $75

changed rear wheel balancer-around $40

new O-ring + rubber pad for wheel hub-$85

crashbar,clutch lever,handlebar-around $100

new rear brake-$25

add fork oil-$8

 

 

total up is almost $1k liao. that's why i think pulsar is not that worth it. for me though. don't know why all my parts are disintegrating though I look after it well. perhaps it's the result of whacking my bike when it's not supposed to be whacked.

just wana share something. a frend of mine just pas his 2b n got an SP. i did some "orientation" with him around singapore. wat i noticed is dat his petrol realy drinks fast, way fast. just topped up full. we travelled around not more than 60km n his gauge was left half petrol. man, i know its a racing bike, but, wow.:P

 

yeah.. gonna get a new bike in july though. after p-plate finish. most probably trade in to shop or sell to fellow forumner for only $2k. is it cheap enough? perhaps will be getting a proper sportsbike or scrambler. this pulsar is neither which i imagine it's capable of imitating. can see the huge loss i'm making. r15 seems good and cheap at only $6k+(machine price) but questioning its assembly in india. i just can't trust india bikes anymore. lol...

Hi guys, got a qns and hope to seek advise from your experience. Today I stopped in a yellow box b4 the traffic light beside Rivervalve mall, shouldn't constitute an offense right?

 

I stop there coz the traffic light had turned amber b4 I have reach the traffic light, thus decided not to try my luck and beat it, but ended into the box.

 

Btw, this sat I hope to meet up with you guys, but got a friend 21st bday to attend at 9.30pm.

hello all pulsarian..i really keen on buyin the pulsar after 4years on a SP..

i want to ask all the wise folks here on their thoughts abt dis bike..cos i want to buy long termed n

i got some answers dat is hard to search for..(it really hard to pin-point with 127 pages..)

and if were to ask UM abt the pros and cons..i believe their sales is their priority..

pulsar is a nice looking bike with alot of nice things and with perks of low fuel consumption, easy maintainace..

it a gd value transportion..

 

1)in your sincere opinion..which one is better pulsar 180 or 200? cos 180 gt kick start n electric, but is 200 jus better cos its 20cc more..?

 

2)on my SP when my rpm is ard 6.5k..my speedometer is ard 100+..at wat rpm is the pulsar when the rpm is ard 6-7k?

and btw does the bike vibrate alot at high rpm?

is sustaining a speed of 110kmh for 30min achievable?(max speed is 120+kmh rite?)

how accurate is the digital speedometer?

 

3)how the quality and reliability cos sum issue such as crack front disc brake, faulty starter,LED etc..?

has anyone encounter dis issue and is it rectify by UM?

Hi there, Im a new pulsarian too.. I won't know as much as the rest but i guess i can answer some of your questions.

 

1) There is not really so much difference with 180 and 200 except the looks and 200 being oil cooled. Oil cooled should allow the bike to last longer on high speed. I riding a 200 and there really not much heat that i can feel between my thigh. And ya.. 200 can never kick start.

 

2) Well on a pulsar slightly below 7rpm im getting 90km/h. But i have to say i din know how accurate is sp speedometer. I tested the speed of my speedometer with a GPS unit. the offset is by 1 or 2km/h. And yes 110 for 30 mins is possible but i guess its not recomended. I sometimes go up to 117 and say there for like 10 mins or so.

 

Vibration wise, if you buy a new bike, the first 3k will be a bit rough and like no power. Engine is like knocking but if u use a good oil (compression 9:5) and engine oil (recomended 20w40 im using 15w40) i guess the bike get smoother as it goes. I donno if this is phycological.. but i can ride my bike with one hand at 110 without wobbling. But in general pulsar is known to be a bike with lots of vibration but i getting 35km per liter. I won ask for more. I rode RXZ before this and i having a better experience with pulsar. well i used to boast that i can go up to 130 but i never kena saman.. hmm.. i guess i know why now.

 

Im riding a P200 for 4 month now. Ive clocked 5k. So far no issue with bike.

yo bros..after my piston jam, UM says need to overhaul. Now the parts they say gonna change is amounting to $650+. Anybody knows roughly how much it will be? 650 is like 6 times my angpao money sia.

the heat should be felt at the calf area the 'heat' u feel between thighs is probably not from the engine but your own 'component'
