estimated machine price might be around 6k range. add in insurance, road tax, coe etc, maybe 7k region? if you looking for first hand, everyone here will direct you back to UM. but if second hand, you can try the Used Bike Section. seen a few guys letting people COI their p200.

as for rear suspension, there are people who have changed it. but they are riding p180.

either that ur cable is too loose or Clutch lever is jam... there is a nut at the clutch lever. adjust there will do.

Hi bro,

Thanks for your info again. I tried and its back to normal again.

Posted
Nemesis, it does make sense... I totally agree about the box part. There is one month that i removed the box and my fc decrease. but sadly box is a need in singapore laa... hahaha

about the speed part, i wonder if the RPM is the actual cause of the fc.. there are pulsar that go faster, but still with better fc. (maybe due to the sockets)

Maybe Fc is related to the rpm of the engine for how long.

If to use your theory UG1 or 2 and UG3 speedo.

UG1 or 2 will have lower rpm at its 80km/h as its only 65++km/h.

UG3 will have a higher rpm at 80km/h as it is actually 77km/h.

hmmm...

Btw Nemesis, do you know how we can put our phones at the handle bar. Safely.. ahhaha

regarding the RPM.... the problem lies with the sprocket. the smaller size used, the lower the RPM. Example :

Stock Sprocket : Front 15 Rear 43 @100KPH = RPM is nearly 9K with Stock tires.

Good : Fast Pickup, good for carry heavy item or pillion behind u.

Bad : When reach above 60KPH, the whole engine is in super stress mode. very difficult to hit 120KPH.

Stock Sprocket with Battlax Tires @100 KPH = nearly 10k RPM with sound of ur engine tearing apart.

Changed Sprocket : Front 15 Rear 38 @ 100KPH = 7-8K RPM with Stock Tires

With Battlelax = @100KPH = 8-9K RPM

With Smaller tires (etc Dunlop, DUnnoe what brand) @100KPH = 7.5 RPM.

Good : Good for about 60KPH, engine less stress and vibration. can hit 100KPH easily.

BaD: Slower pickup compare to stock sprocket. Not so ideal for carry pillion or heavy stuff...

These finding is based on the specification on my bike. There are some pulsarian that change FRONT :16 rear 38 or F:15 R:40 or F:16 R:40. Result is different. find one that suit ur needs.

As for the speedo, proven that Digital meter is much more accurate that Analog Meter. Test have being conducted on both UG 1,2 and 3.

For better F/C, Remove ur rear box. Travel not more than 60KPH. Slow in moving off. Rider must loses weight. No unnecessary item that carry weight are allow in the rear box. Ensure ur tires have enough pressure. BIke is well maintain. Blar blar blar......

For HandPhone HOlder....

Go to LAB and purchase a Strut Bar for ur handle bar (I dunnoe what it call). Just go to LAB and say u want the center pieces for the handle bar like the scramble bike... they know. price is @ 10 buck. (OPTIONAL)

HP holder can purchase at MUSTAFA CENTER. LEVEL 4. go to the BICYCLE section. is on the top shelve.

This holder have being tested. :thumb: But use it at ur own risk :dot:

I been reading this tread for a year and decide if I can join in and share experience and get to know from your experience riding pulsar. I been riding my Pulsar 180 for 2yrs 1mth now. Only speedometer giving problem 4weeks after buying it and get it replaced, not so smooth gearbox shifting (common for 180's) Bike has been doing 37,702Km. Until recently have to send for a major overhaul, due to EO draining sabotage. Planning to change to Pulsar 200DTS-Fi, when avaliable in Singapore.

Well it's because the condition of the bike is not very good after the over haul, the gearbox shifting is worse after the overhaul, even after the change of 5th gear to new one, the gear don't catch in after shifting it up. I have to really shift it up hard in order to engage 5th gear. Vibration is even not as good before.
