sg petrol r like stock market, up down up down, only thing is that u can't buy more when it's down, when u gotta travel, u gotta pump petrol. :sign

weeeelllll, i do suppose one can kinda do a *ahem* little draining of the carb bowl, y'know, have to get rid of old petrol, into say a metal container, y'know those w a screw cap, to store liquids.

then don't waste the drained fuel, save it for a rainy day. maybe, save alot.

haha.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

SBT #1149 Price List

morning, just 4 d in4..

SINGAPORE Petroleum Company (SPC) raised pump prices yesterday by 4 cents to 5 cents a litre.

The raise comes a day after other operators had adjusted their rates.

SPC's 98-, 95-, and 92-octane petrol now cost $1.71, $1.567 and $1.557 respectively before discount. Diesel stands at $1.183.

Oil prices are now identical at all stations.

However, Shell's 92-octane petrol is still costlier at $1.585.

95-octane and 92-octane price different by one cent better pump 95 grade.

if ur EO is below limit, there's a chance ur gears might overheat, u can go buy urself a can of EO n top-up, very easy, unscrew the black screw tab with a spanna n pour the EO in slowly.

Thanks for the reply. I had topped up that day after seeing it had gone below the minimal mark.

The glass/sight glass on the left/stand side is not for monitor EO. Is for tuning timing if I not wrong. Those bike without the glass need to open up the cover for tuning.

I guess you are right Nemesis, after riding the bike from the overhaul. The traveling with this bike has bring me to feels like sad liao. I will keep this bike and try to extend the milage further.

Recently, I went to west coast Macdonals for supple and a guy riding Honda Wave 125i approach me and ask about Pulsar milage, I told him not bad 45-50km/L. Then he said that Wave i has a better milage of 60km/L and said that Pulsar is not good (I don't what's up with him, maybe he have bad day). So he gave me his number and call him when I can do better than 60km/L. Hah can't be borther with this kind of rider.

wlcome n wlcome. im gaban aka ussop.

one gd thing abt p180 is ders kick start. dun worry abt maintanence since u wana go 2nd hand. ur insurance will be around 1k if im not wrong cos ur age is below 20. so if u wan monthly instalment, i suggest u fork out 1.5k or more, depends. if u wana full payment,

get ready 4-5k 4 2nd hand. very easy maintanence. every month just change cheap EO, cost around 10 bucks or a little more, well dat depends on u of cos.

hope dis helps. if u wan more in4, d guys here r more den welcome to share their in4 n experience. even better, go UM n ask them A-Z.

happy riding. :)

Could you quote me a range for Insurance for 20 yrs old going to 21 then?

I see some Pulsars going off at the range of 2.5k-3.5k in Garage sales, are they trustworthy then?

btw, thanks for the prompt reply.

they may b cheap, but do u know d condition of the bikes? one of d "pros" in geting a 2nd, is dat der will b problems encountered, which u will learn eventualy. like mine, i bot 2nd hand n after a few days, problems start 2 arise. like no EO, (damn shop owner, make empty promises). spoiled spoket n so on. not all shop owners r trustworthy n vice versa. 2 play safe, buy from any shop which u think its cheap, den go UM to do a full service, it will cost u though cos u r not buying from UM which means,no waranty.

quote range? i duno. just standby 1k or more.

an example is a frend of mine who bot an SP frm an online seller which cost 1.7k 8 yr old bike. a lot of probs arise after riding it. im not saying it isnt gd, ders just pros n cons.

he quote you no use. best is to call up the insurance companies and ask. or go motorshop and ask. try asking friends your age what is their premium and you can get a rough estimation as well. but since march, premium have increased already, so be prepared to pay abit more.

well, buying from garage sales of course will be cheaper because shop earn through reselling, of cos have to jack up the price slightly higher. but in return, they offer maybe warranties and etc.

for your info, price listed on the garage sales usually is considered semi on the road pricing. still need to include in transfer fee, your insurance, road tax (if near expiry date). but i am not saying that buying from private owner is no good. sometimes you can catch a good deal in it too. :thumb:

eh! mine is going off for $2k leh. cheap cheap! can use as for normal. but not pretty on the eyes though. that's the catch la.

if u can get 3rd party from AXA, i recommend you to wait when you're 21 years old. significant difference. 21 years old is $390 + $150 for P-platers.
