for minor ailments, any bike shop can service the Shadow. for serious stuff, you need a specialist. RS Bikes Centre (Autobay Kaki Bukit) is very good with Shadows. As long as you are patient and dont mind paying a little more.

Hi all. Ive recently bought a 2nd hand shadow (2010 model). Theres no manual that came along with it and the shop uncle didn't do a good job explaining to me on how to maintain my bike.

 

Just wanna ask:

1) how many litres of engine oil should be optimal for the shadow?

2) Im new to liquid cooling engine systems. How do I check if my shadow has enough cooling liquid? Is there a dipstick test just like how you check for engine oil levels? Where is it located on the bike?

Only one shop quoted me 240SGD for front tyre only........really ???

Previously replaced front and back full set for S$265 (This was 3 years ago, so please factor in inflation)

Never had trouble finding tyres. Even if the bike shop don't have ex-stock they can get order with same day delivery.

Recently asked for shadow tyres in Ah Boy. The got one, but some b-class brand. Don't remember exactly, may be maxis or some sort of...

 

Will need to replace both mine soon, so would appreciate if you post where you finally find it.

I am using Bridgestone G701( approx 150-170 plus for now ) for front, Bridgestone G546 ( Approx 225 -250 for now)for rear. Both made in japan.

I extremely do not like bridgestones on shadow. Rear skids on wet, like on ice.
