can't seems to find the thread on SINGAPORE petrol discussion except on JB for Superfour.

Would like to see which petrol is suitable or well-liked by S4 folks in spore.

If possible please state your S4 model. :cheeky:

Since i got my bike, hab been using Esso 8000.. now fuel getting more ex really tempted to pump 95.. maybe 92.. hehehz

but im curious, btwn using 98 & 92, difference is in power or ...?

any1 can enlighten?

actually, pump higher octane is to reduce the knocking of the engine. not high octane for more power. pumping high octane gives a quiet n smooth operation thru out therefore its mistaken as more power. for high compression engines, they need higher octane level to reduce the amount of knocking from the engines. low compression engines, 92 will do a good job. for those lower cc bikes, compression low, use 98 petrol, in return, feel lost of power.

some might have heard of this theory n some might not. does it sounds logical, that depends on individual. anyway, i read this from carma.

using 95 will b good. 92, too much pre-detonation causing alot of knocking.

i think he can simply migrate to malaysia or thailand for the sake of cheaper petrols.

its oso good for him to migrate cos he like touring u c... migrate upwards, he can go further north to mayb china, tibet or russia... then over the continent to europe, middle east, then africa... covering most part of the world.

for petrol as long as it's unleaded, anything goes.

personally,my sensitivity level is not high thus cannot feel the diff from trying 92 to 98..:)

Spec III

Using Shell 92. If no 92 then go for 95.

Personally feels no different.

98 octane n above is a waste of money. synergy 5000 gives better miles somehow..n color also nice.

Red red red.. matches my bike..

i chose Mobil because got one just outside my place.. SAF go 12% discount always, +1% more if petrol station's discount go more than 12%..

but recently always go Msia pump.. when Msia, Caltex or Mobil for me..

seems like most votes on Mobil 95 now..

Seriously guys....think SPC is quite gd....mobil/esso makes my bike lags, shell no way I going to stand my bike and pump petrol, caltex too ex$$$
