.Movie Buddy.

I remember a time in 1995 when my mrs was still my GF. We went to watch a movie at Golden Village Yishun. While we were dating, we were really movie buffs. Every week, we sure go out to watch movies.

 

Anyways on the day that we went to Yishun 10, all the movies we had watched except for one. A Hugh Grant movie, 'The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain'. I still remember the title cos it is ridiculously long and corny.

 

Needless to say, it is a boring movie. I forced myself to stay awake cos I feel that it is a waste of money to pay for a movie and then sleep, even when tickets used to cost $6.50 I think, during those days. My mrs on the other hand, slept through the whole movie after the first ten minutes.

 

Even when we watched 'Speed' at Cathay when it was screened, she slept through the action and explosives parts. How she managed to sleep through all that explosive sound effects is beyond my comprehension...

watched "Get Smart" yesterday at Tampines Mall....good farny movie...Rock powerlah....i give it a 3.5/5 stars...

 

Dont mess with the Zohan is at 4/5 stars...

Watch '21 ' with my missus last nite at Marina Square...not bad show...al about bang-lak, cards & money...lotsa money & have that Kevin Spacey & a brunette with tantalising ok ok bod....i give it a 6.5/10 cos towards the end, i feel it is a little draggy...

Hi! Brothers! I'm a superb movie freak too. But recently can't watch too many movie, cos not much $$$.

 

I watch all type of movies including arthouse, romcom, action, haunted, foreign language, war, etc.... As long as anything good, I'll watch. (Sorry to say, but most block buster movie are not really dat nice. Just my opinion.)

 

One of my saddest thing this year is that I can't watch most of the movie during the film fest a few months ago. Only manage to catch a few. Hope that bros here can introduce really good movie to me. (Just to emphasize dat I dun mind you all intro me movie of foreign language such as Germany, malay, french....., cos I believe good movie should be appreciate in the whole world)

do u all jus paid $10 for wkend tix or get promo item ? like e UOB NOW card can get $8 for wkend movie etc.. cos im also a movie lover which watch ard 1movie every week(provided there is a nice movie) . so i get myself a HSBC GV prepaid card etc.. cos if everywk watch $10 too exp . esp when u r payin for 2 ppl . lol
