How to appeal to Town Council for parking at Void Decks?

Bro if u first time u can "keng" a very good reason for them such as u first time dun know.park there a while only next time wun liao...maybe they will waive the offenece but u still need to pay a adminstrative charges..less then $20..pm me if u need help on this...

called up the town council for more info,u can go down to the town council

office to hand over ur appeal letter,sometimes i feel handing over the letter is better than mailing,*dunno whether they received it anot*

Guys, i just got summoned by Town Council due to parking in void decks.

 

I went down to my bike this afternoon, and saw a bloody paper made of cheapskate material, which states my bike's licence number and the offence i've committed. A notice of composition or summon to court will be send to me later.

 

How much will i have to pay for the summon?

 

How to appeal? What to write?

 

Am i able to check my summon online? What address?

hi...allow me to say something.....I am a Meet-the-people session petition writer....frankly speaking...majority of the people are also like you...come and ask to waive off fines for them......On our side, we will try our best to write a good story for you all....

 

The main problem is.....town council, LTA receive hundreds of such letters per week......so the chances they are willing to waive is quite low...

 

You could still try though...no harm doing that

anyway, its just $17 per month. part and parcel of owning a bike. if you try to scrimp on such stuff, cannot complain when you get $100 fine.

For parking at void decks and common spaces, it is under the purview of Town Council. Usually, the 1st time summons is $100 and this is incremental for subsequent offences in most Town Councils (eg, 2nd offence $200, 3rd offence $400, etc).

 

Most of the time, they won't waive off the summons completely but will reduce the compound (eg. $100 down to $70). But this is still subject to valid reasoning and varies between Town Councils.

I was caught for this summon before twice and for the second offence same bike, i was issued a $200 summon and i appealed by writing an email to them. i was then compounded with a $20.00 summon as their administrative charge.

now after getting a new bike, i am issued a $100.00 summon for the same mistake. i wonder if they keep track by NRIC number..haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...the carpark at my place is always full of bikes, when i come back at night after work.....

i just appealed yesterday, keep you guys informed of how i fared !! haha !!

When i appeal , it is normally a full waiver without any so called administrative charges ..

 

Rule of thumb , do not commit the same offence again, they will most probably keep track of your NRIC number and offending vehicle number, unless you get someone's else name (eg. sub rider or owner) to be the one who "committed" the offence.

Wahahaha. No money dun ride bike la. Simple. So next time dun renew insurance and road tax la. Can save money wad. When kena caught den post another topic "How to appeal to LTA for riding without valid Insurance and road tax?". Den u see 20 more people who will post here, giving u excuses to consider so u can appeal. No need to maintain ur bike also. Just ride until the whole thing break down.
