Ask U hor, U normally use what spark plug on your skipper one?

And how often U change spark plug & gear oil?

And other than spark plug, gear oil, do U change the air filter too?

wah tt reminds mi .. so mad :mad: :mad: :mad:

my air filter gone.. dono lost it at which bikeshop. until recently den i found out i been riding without air filter.. :mad:

 

spark plug last mi around 4 mths average le.. i prefer champion size 12...

but sometimes cant find tt 1, den i jus buy ngk size 8 lor.. some is longer some is short, eg. i use champion plug is slightly longer abit den NGK, & is beta.

 

gear oil i nv bother till now.. alot other stuffs i no time to go bother le..

tink my tyre pressure oso time to update liao.. :sweat: haiz...

Regarding the dry battery, is anyone using it? If yes, what is the specification on your dry battery?

Skipper uses a 12V 7Ah battery, but the one I use is 12V 8Ah, will this damage the bike?

 

And BTW, what fuse ratings U guys use?

The main one is suppose to be 15A, the remaining ones R 10A, 7.5A & 2x4A.

But nowadays I go around shops ask, they dun sell 4A fuses anymore leh...they all say 4A fuse too easily blow liao, the smallest fuse they reccomend is 10A!?!?!

From 4A jump to 10A safe anot one? Has anyone tried? Or does anyone knows where to buy 4A fuses?

 

 

And lastly, these R the tyre pressure for Skipper (extracted from manual)

Front: 17.5 - 19.0 psi (1.2 - 1.3 bar)

Rear: Rider only is 24.5 - 26 psi (1.7 - 1.8 bar)

Rider with passenger is 32 - 33.5 psi (2.2 - 2.3 bar)

i tink the batt is fine .. fuse ok lah.. spoil liao at least stil consider not expensive jus giv it a try lor. the rest i not v sure liao..

as for the tyre pressure thx for the info :smile:

I was recommended to inflate

 

Front tire : 200kPa (2bar)

Rear tire : 210 kPa (2.1 bar)

 

Regarding your battery, more power wouldn't hurt your bike.

 

Try Sim Lim Tower for the fuses. I'm sure you can get them there.

The tyre pressure specs I extract from the Haynes skipper manual one.

 

SL Tower got sell vehicle fuse one ah? Maybe I'll go check it out.

 

BTW, does anyone riding Skipper here experience electrical problems like fuse blow, lights siao siao after heavy rain?
