i was combing my hair and applying the mousse...

ah another great idea came along....

i was holding a shiny great looking aluminun can of mouse......

 

yeah..u guest right....it would be wonderful and i think a perfect oil storage container for our DIY...

beuatiful looikng ......slim ,estimate 2" dia about 8" long..who cares about the size...just nice...mine is a cool GATSBY..

whats yours...Gillette? old spice?? wow the selection is cool.....i would not use "follow me" hahah

maybe the ladies would love a pink colour ones...

the qty of oil in the no.3 design...and the last pump/hose design.=limitless..hahah depending on the length and dia of the pipes...

just like some bikres have the petrol stored in the frame...u can store the oil in it too..or even in the handle bars...the combi is up to your imagination...

so guys u can come up with your own design..

the diy will use the gavity method with pump/hose and a control valve to control the final flow rate..

 

so the bill of material is something like this.

 

1. pump x1 (foc)

2. 1" hose 25cm . long..(will cut to your prefered length) ($0.30) oil storage

3. 5mm dia hose 1m long.($1.00)

4. stainless steel valve x1 ($1.3)

5. aqurim air hose 1m long ($0.300)

6.cable ties x20 pcs. ($0.40)

7. eo..100ML ($0.50)

8 cork x1 ($0.50)..or bring your own..get it from wine bottles or sauces bottle etc.

9. steel wire ..$0.20..

total cost estimated $4.50...

it is a ss mini valve ... fish aqurium air valve...not plastic.

looks like a switch .

i will get them for u..maybe bargain with shop..get better price.

the price of the valve varies from $1 to $2

 

..depends where u buy...the shop in bedok selling for $1.3 ea.

yeah the ss mini valve is also a ball valve,,,fit 3mm dia hose...

yours look stylo milo...how much does it cost ea?? what hose size does it fit..or will get the hose to fit it..

are this snap on snap off fittings?? you see the valves i proposed have a male thread on one end and a another end is shaped like fish hook type of fitting that will push into the hose...a simple type that look slike a old fashion switch...light duty for aquarium air use.

its operation similar to petrolcock...with vavle handle along the hose axis...it is open, when it is across the axis the valve is at the close position.

Those in the pics are expensive, using for pumping or gas pipes, not sure which.

Took it off a online shopping site.

My house here got hardware shop selling, similar ones, I go take a look on Wed.

Best part is next to the shop is the Goldfish shop!

 

But I think you got a pretty good set up there. Don't ditch your idea just yet, I am sure that valve can take the big rubber hose, but I may not be able to get that valve other end to fit the 3mm small tubing to deliver to oil. So there is a very high chance that we still need the valves you got.

hey Jtzx...wah..have been showing you so many different types of method of container..u still have no idea what is required?

 

see my post earlier on what to bring.

 

so u want want oil container as storage medium?? yes..bring pump and cork..only.

if no pump..come empty handed (but must bring $5) will built the tube and 2 valves type for u...the oil storag is in the tube..as calculated somewhere u need to have about 1m long...if u use the 5mm dia tube to store 50ml..

 

i suggest u bring and empty alu spray can like those used in hairspray,hair mousse..and a pump.

 

so guys just decide what options u want..then dont have to buy more material then neccessary.

Maybe its about time i explain the costing of the DIY...

 

the standard one will be offere..

 

i called it ..pump/tube and 1 valve version 1.0

 

you bring your own pump and oil storage container..

 

this is the standard version 1.0 ..everyone pay $5.00.

 

EO will be provided..a std amount 100ml or so. Balance of EO will be to be shared among those who came..

all other consumables wil be provided..tubes/ cable ties, silicon..all will be provided.

 

 

 

any other variations u pay for the extra material..like u want 2 valves version,

where no pump or container required. the extra cost is for the valve add $1.3..

 

those who want the mini pump with mini bottle..the cost is $1.2..

 

At the diy...pk xperts will be on hand to fix and trouble shoot the assembly

and fix the flow rate of eg, 1 to2 drops per minute, or 2ml per pump..

or anyother rates..this depends on the version fix.

 

for those who will pick up later..the best is to fix it on site..so dont have to worry about EO, insufficient material...etc, etc. note no posting of DIY OILER.

 

the extra money will be happy hours overseas dinner or in bedok(?)..hope all can join the trip.

 

yeah...all will be happy with the FREE SCUBBER.

if u have other ideas of course u bring yourown material..i would be unable to supply everything under the sun.. thus for those who need to choose please go through the posts..have been described many times..maybe as a result to confusing.
