I think can get the metal switch from Sim Lim Tower (Not Sim Lim Square) and cover it with a rubber cover to waterproof it.

Saw the metal switch (abit like joystick) and rubber cover there couple of months back.

Wires I got! Red & Black type.

Soldering iron I got too!

Soldering wire I have a bit also! :cheeky:

Anyone thinking of putting fuses in?

I want to attach mine below the chrome covers or at the gap between the keyhole and fuel tank.

hmm i'm not sure if adding a fuse is going to be redundant since we're tapping from the headlight wire instead of battery. but then again it's better to be safe.

yes. thats the kinde switch i'm talking about. cheap and good.. We can think of where to attached it on the day itself.. Most imptly must know where to mount the switch first.

those switches look nice! but just ensure it's dpst type. hmm or you can put a normal on/off switch in front of the dpst(leave it to on)...haha that's why i like diy, you can do all sorts of combinations.

so guys what is the flasher specs be?? 2x23.5 w?? is this okay for all bikes?

have another weird idea..

for all lights flashing..eg

use left flasher as per normal ..the right one this is where the diy additonal flasher is added.

so no need to worry for the flasher to blow.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

i tried that idea before cos i got 2 of those ah boy flasher(before i got the one i'm using)...problem is that 2 flasher will blink at different rates even though they're identical. in the end i got disco lights! hahah tic tac tic tac..

easier to tap from headlight cos everything can be stored inside the headlamp casing. batteries also can but must add fuse and run the wire.

Ah okay...i assume you are adding an additional switch in front of the dpst switch for cosmetics purposes ah hehe

i just came back from autobacs at bukit batok, saw a number of L and straight brackets with holes for ~$3-$4. i'm sure you can get it cheaper elsewhere but just to share in case you're at wits end.

okay that means your method will be the flip spdt/on-off switch, then turn signal switch to activate hazard light?

otherwise if you opt for the one switch turn on hazard light method, you'll need a dpst switch...cos if lets say you use a spdt switch only, when you use your normal handlebar left right switch, you'll be activating all the signal lights

yup both method works, first method needs to flip 2 switches, second method flip 1 switch only. :)

Pilot light is the front signal lights that stays on during normal times, but operates as normal signal lights when you turn on the signal. Some bikes have this function built in already. You'll need separate circuitry for that to properly integrate with the signal lights.

i see...my bike has it... the pilot light.

it seems that larger cc bikes are equipped with it..

for a while i thought he would like to install a pilot light to indicate something...
