Want to do a DIY for bikes that cannot start if not in neutral?

You know like when stalled in first gear, even if you clutch in and press start, also cannot start, and must kick to neutral then can start?

my bike when clutch is depress...any gear can electric start...

some bikes has a side stand cut off....maybe this is the problem.

are u refering to phantom of dr big..?

Phantom only, some bikes if not in neutral, depress the clutch also cannot electric start.

 

Yap, can DIY, we only need a wire to do it.

i still have the hazard light parts with me... only fixed the flasher unit, not too sure how to wire up the hazard light...

Just wondering if anybody is keen in trying out modelling of a mainstand for phantoms?

 

The argument that it's too heavy doesn't really sit well with me. There are heavier bikes or relatively similar weight bikes (Daelim) that have a middle stand.

 

The pros is that should your side stand give way, you will have another plan.

It makes it easier to clean and check the rear tire and chain.

It's never been done before

 

The cons is that in order to mount the stand, you'd have to drill another hole for nut and bolt in worse case scenario, which could compromise the integrity structure of the mainframe.

Mr Koh...my hazard light spoilt.

The cable tie was too tight till one connector point broke out from the switch.

DIY fixed it back ah ;D i redo my hazard lights 3 times le.. and now it's 100% bullet proof...

Anyway, it's not the solder point which falls off...it's the solder point along with the metal it's soldered to which dropped/broke out of the switch!

 

I trying sticking it back into the switch but to no avail.

get it resoldered it will be okay..

The soldering is fine...it's the switch which is broken.

Just wanna know if you still have the switch available, or where can I get switch if you don't have it.

can be easily purchase at SIM lim tower or any hardware shop... less then $2 dude

the switch cost $2 or so only....make sure it is a double pole type.

 

many types available in sim lim.

can check my phantom for problems! my engine got weird sound when i throttle (even in neutral), got loud metal sound when i accelerate from 90 to 100+km/h, handle bar a bit out of alignment, fork leaking oil, bike seat kena cat scratch. haiz. also, any idea where to get all the cosmetic mods, such as changing of seats, spraying of paint, etc. also would greatly appreciate it if someone accompanies me down to ah koon. probably want to get him to check what's wrong with my phantom, but don't know how to tell him, where to look for him, and when is he available.

I think you should drop by planet motor and let ah chong test ride your bike. He will not ask you to replace things unnecessary..

 

As for changing seats, Eugene Saddlery is the only place that I will go.
