went to The Ritz-Carlton last evening and parked at its basement car park... no gap for bikes to get through so i entered with iu scanned alike the cars. was later told by the security guard no need to put cash card when exiting as parking is free for bikes. true indeed... but the barrier took a long time to open before the system identified my iu is a bike one :p

yes. no barrier at mustafa's basement car park but there's no proper bike lots, gotta park at spaces behind/beside the cars near the exit :p

parkway parade can park free at 3 spots. MSCP is divided into 2 wings with 1 entrance at hawker centre/McDonald's side, another at the condo side (after the overhead bridge)... big gaps at barrier. the last spot is near the loading and unloading area (no barrier) same way in to the MSCP's 2nd wing.

To put it short, obviously no one in the vivo management rides a bike. Big shot people what, all drive BMW and their mercs. What for bother about us bikers?

and it's obvious these management ppl dont know anything about management!

i condemn vivocity

What crap... system can take $ from our IU, cannot put $ back to IU meh?

Last time where got no parking available? I go there lunch time, dinner time, always no prob since I work near there...

Ya... of coz bikers can find a lot easily... there are almost no bikes there!!!

N anybody see that she clearly avoid my qns on the more expensive parking than car after 6pm?=p

yah lar... never address your qns.

one think i was wondering... what factors did they consider about?

and where's their findings on motorcyclist who APPRECIATE the implementation?

what's their email address ar?

i also wanna write in.

Precisely what Kenneth.C and huairen said. How the hell did her reply have anything to do with the issues that you have raised? You took the time and effort to write such a long email and this is how she replies you?!

i totally piss with what she replied.

just a mere reply and intend to solve the whole thing !?

WTH

get the press to highlight the problem, they will sure give you a good explaination and probably waive bikes parking

Tis fellow replied me with the generic email: [email protected]

I was blowing steam thru my ears when I saw it on sat.... Totally ignoring my questions... I bet I've been to vivo more times than she did... Heck... I used to visit minimum once every week. Sometimes even up to 3 times... You know, food, shopping etc. I was so pissed when I was informed by the carpark registration girl that I lost my appetite... n my whole face was black.

I am thinking of straits times online forum etc.... still planning my alternations to the original email. Not sure I want to reply her email or send to just send to straits times.

Any of you guys got more input for me to add into my mail? Or anybody volunteering to making the letter more perfect?

ur point about bike parking being more expensive than car is already a strong point... which she clearly avoided... and if u notice carefully their replies seem to be like a template.

ST online forum!!!!!

has already been discussed in another thread, run a search on vivo. email also send already, generic email also replied already. they are hellbent on discouraging 2 wheelers from parking there so i say just F it, don't go there anymore. if you absolutely have to, take a bus or drive.

that is so sad....

nevermind....

got lots of new malls coming up!

should we be parking in the car lots since we paying more? lolz

No more vivocity and sentosa for me!

wtf...seeing vivo is again bias against biker...I dun even wanna patronise there unless really necessary.

biker, park at the car lot if you are going there. All bikers should do that.

I've read all your posts and decided that since they don't give a F* about us bikers, why should we even get angry with them? Just send the same Email to straits times or the media and we'll see from there.. ;)

1) The carpark fee after 6pm is too unfair compared to cars.

2) The limited number of bike lots they mentioned in the reply mail shows that they know the problem but why can't they just use a few car lots to give more lots for the bikes? (1 car lot = 4 bike lots)

3) The fact that they are charging us for parking now means that they ought to be responsible for the bike lots as well, not just some space under the slope.

4) The carpark redeem scheme doesn't apply to bikes.

5) The generic mail that was sent to reply to your complain letter.

All these points are very obvious that vivo city does not regard bikers as their valued customers. So why show them support by parking there and shopping there? They will only start to wonder what is wrong when there are no bikes parking there and their annual revenue decreases! I won't let my bike touch their discriminated compound ever.

It's not how fast you ride, but how well you ride.

if vivo were to revise their charges for bikes that would be great ,but what if there are more and more shopping centres following vivo foot steps? if we were to write into newspaper, they wont even entertain us when there are more shopping centres charging just like vivo:angry:

kudos to places which offer free parking to bikers. i will definitely patronise.

kudos to places which charge bikers on a "per entry" basis. thats why i dont even think twice about going to jurong point to shop. at least i'm still allowed to enter their premises.

screw places which BAN bikers. dont want my business? fine. u shall not get it. i'm intending to watch a midnight movie later. oh, west mall bans bikers. ok. i will be spending my $20 at jurong point instead.

I think that lady Gwen is only a senior customer service officer, should try to write email to the general manager of Vivocity. If no respond, we write to the big shot of Mapletree. CEO etc....
