GUys, just seeking some opinions here....

i mean i do see alot of people trying to "mod" their bikes (say TMAX for eg), but i'm wondering certain things, is there really a NEED to do? like for example, changing the brake rotors, discs and suspensions etc (all to aftermarket ones)?

Especially when the bikes are rather new, say less than 3 yrs old... of course changing pipes is for a different set of reasons....

but when the reasons are for so-called "safety" reasons.. ??

i do believe that the yamahas & hondas have done their R&D, and the bikes are suitable for their "standard" usage. unless say one really pushes their bikes to the max, thrashing their bikes to their limits, then perhaps can justify the NEED to change to steelbraided hoses, brembo brakes, Ohlins suspension etc...

just tink that more often than not, the actual reasons is: just wannna be different fr the rest, got lots of $$ to spare, nothing better to do, or, if that thing's expensive, probably its much better than the stock....

i mean, when the TMAX is so darn new, is there really a need to change those stuff?? hmm.... hope i've not opened up a pandora box and kenna flaming.... :giddy:

but i seriously do believe that the stock machine would probably justify the needs of (perhaps) 80% of the rider's riding style (habits)...

haha, i also fall into the above "trap", saw the PC3 USB for sale on ebay, any purpose to buy it if i'm not changing my pipes?? hahah ... Bo Liao rite?? :sian:

Cheers :thumb:

pc3 is not for performance totally..can tune for more fuel economy also..like tuning leaner for richer....y ppl mod?i can tell u its a feel good thing.y u buy own 3 bikes and a car?same thing.u do not need.its just a feel gd thing.of course there is not a ""Need to mod"" as its a feel gd thing all together.

Shld say its performance mod...in the end,its just like an orgasm...

the oem exhaust sensor on the mid pipe can only auto calibrate to a certain limit. the PC3 (power commander) allows a wide range of settings. u can change settings from performance to fuel economy.

alot of local riders also got fix PC to have a more comfortable, smooth and enjoyable ride.

got spring some more. :lovestruck:

after knowing where the tmax rear shock is situated, a rear shock with expose springs is not very ideal. when the sands & stones get stuck in the springs, the spring rate will change.

no thanks. mine still not in need of the PC3 yet.

maybe after 3years when the fuel consumption changes.

fyi, PC3 is not a one time mapping thingy. you need to map it as time goes on.

the progressive spring is a good time to get when the US $ are down.

but i still preferred bitubo though.

the exhaust cost me $1200 exclude installation + inspection.

but now the price goes up abit i think due to the euro $.

& what do you mean by what are those anyway?

there's an option to change the whole cartridge with the springs.

but wouldn't be cheap. just another alternative for those who wants to keep the Max for long or interested in after market stuff.

i'm using the leo vince SBK titanium.

ya. its been long since we meet up.

its an advantage to us when USD drop.

Because maybe u haven't seen wat bitubo has to offer. Momo and i have seen it and WAO...... You'll be suprise. I really regret not getting a tmax. But too late. My current bike will tie me down for some time. And not forgetting, we got our own lobangs... hehe... Right Mao???

for the front

T-Max ABB09

Developed by Bitubo for the Maxiscooter Italian Trophy, the ABB09 Fork Cartridge Kit for Yamaha T-Max 500 meets the requirements of the fans who don't wish to give up aggressive driving on their Maxi Scooter.

The kit consists of a pair of complete cartridges, pressurised with nitrogen, with the hydraulics totally redesigned for optimum control of the forecarriage.

The top caps, in Ergal 7075, replacing the original ones, now provide for the adjustment of the preloading of the springs, included in the kit, for customised calibration.

Technical characteristics of the ABB 09 Cartridge Kit for T-Max 500:

> Cr-Si alloy steel springs with linear rigidity

> Ergal top cap, with millimetric preload spring adjustment.

> Hydraulic unit in a sealed and nitrogen pressurised cartridge, with oversize pistons and laminar packs studied for the perfect control of damping.

The kit also contains low viscosity Competition Oil, for improved sleeve-spool smoothness, and its delivery with complete mounting instrucrion.

for the rear

HZT 12 - Racing Monoshock for Yamaha T-Max 500

We have just presented here in Italy at the Maxiscooter Championship Race in the city of Magione (PG) the new Mono Racing for T-MAX 500.

HZT 12 is a mono shock absorber with separate compensation chambre, pressurized with Nitrogen. The special kinematic motion of the rear suspension of T-Max (with a drawing action) led to the special styling design of the Mono HZT 12, with the spring 'hidden' inside the structure, anodized in aggressive "Black Chrome" finshed.

Setting adjustments :

- Length

- Spring preload

- Rebound

- Compression

Available for all Yamaha T-Max model Years 2001 - 2007
