You have just used up your "Get out of jail free" card. Make no further traffic offences for there will be no more appeals for you. Take care on the roads.

Technically speaking a cisco officer has all the power of a normal police officer. Its just that they are usually asign to specific task. They wouldn't and shouldn't bother about anything that is outside their designated task.

as to what zako mentioned , i do agree. they are an auxillary police force. if for eg, they are attached on duty to LTA for enforcement purposes, then yes .. they could stop u for illegal modifications and such. if they are attached to traffic police ops/enforcements ... then they are allowed to stop you for some offences that they have been briefed on. normally, cisco are now contracted by TP for summoning of parking offences, so they could issue summons for all traffic parking offences. but for some cases, for eg, speeding, they are not able to coz their vehicles are not calibrated for their speed and they do not have the power to stop you for speeding. for other cases such as careless driving, reckless driving and other moving traffic offences, CISCO as well as normal members of public can make a traffic police report at any police post, NPC, HQ and submit the report. TP will act on it but please do note that if the person u made the report on claim trial in court, you have to attend court to support what you have written in the traffic offence report.

by the way guys, now cisco has given power to summons all kind of traffic offence..coz i m one of them.from parking offences to moving offences.normally after we summon a vehicle,we will lodge a report to TP.so be careful,if u dont believe me,u can challange CISCO

but if i were to be stopped/summoned by CISCO officers or for moving offences and for sure i know i am in the right, i'll sure would challenge CISCO and fight it out with them in court.

Now majority of LTA road marshalls are under Cisco..they have the same power as TPs,but only cannot summon speeding vehicles..i know this coz i also a member of Cisco..haha

but nowadays i see more LTA marshalls on expressways and TPs on major and minor roads...

Well said...but i think for those parking offence...it is usually not the Auxiliary Policemen dat issued it...its their Enforcement officer...

I second what [r]empiticon has said..... :thumb:

On a technicallity..... ANY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC, CAN LODGE A REPORT AND A SUMMONS may be issued!

Just the same as when a CISCO or any other uniformed personnel lodges a complaint, a summons will be issued.

The question is....

as a member of the public, you will have to take a day off, to witness and confirm what you have reported, in court when the offender is called up. :sian:

Whereas for the uniformed contingent...

it means a "relax" day in aircon room :bounce: instead of beating the streets in the hot sun.

What u think....???? :dot:

Comprendo...! :)

The bottom line is when cisco is on duty... They got the power like what SPF (tp/lta)have.... some of us think that when we speed, they can't do anything. U r WRONG my frens they can take yr license plate number and send to tp...and that's it... So my frens ride safely and thing of love ones....

do they have the necessary calibration on their bikes to deem us road users as speeding?

if they do not have the necessary tools/equipments to do so, they do not have a case against us road users. it's our words against theirs, and there is a case which can be challenged in court.

TP bikes have a separate speedo meter to clock your speed while they are on the move. they just have to tail behind you to determine whether you are above speed limit anot..

TP/LTA are different from Cisco/AETOS..

and 1 point to take note, LTA marshalls are there to assist and divert traffic in case of vehicle breakdown or accidents. they do not have any rights to ask any vehicles to pull over.

FYI: i don't give a f sh|T abt cisco/AETOS..

To add on, I remember an article in the papers a while back. Now TP bikes have both forward and rearward facing detectors. Don't play play XD

not all are fitted with that YET..

but 1 thing for sure is, TP WRXs are fitted both on the front and rear.. why i know? i was tailing this TP WRX on ECP quite a long time back and i saw the detectors on the rear windscreens.. :sian:
