Failed 2nd attempt on 31/5/16.

32 points.

Managed to avoid wobbling while turning (s course exit) etc but replaced by wobbling while stopping and incorrect posture, which did not commit in first attempt.

No wobbling during RR, RC, SP. But occasionally if I wobble, I will wobble the whole lesson. So made me think could it be the bike wheel bearing, balancer etc? Instructors will of cos say no as they have the skills to control a poor bike.

Sianz.

Except for 3.01, all other lessons 1 attempt cleared. But this TP thingy is driving me crazy!

Come here to let go #$%!

and at the same time see if people got any comments.

Anyone from BBDC can comment how to check junction:

- when going straight (circuit)

- when going straight before the uturn (do u check right or only left?

- when turning right (after uturn)

Always kena a 'check junction' demerit but I am sure I checked all junctions and moved head enough. Maybe the sequence of checking?

I find that some instructors give different answers.

32 points!?! Might want to check on the other 'mistakes' and correct it. Doubt just wobbling here and there could amount to that much. Perhaps just perhaps you could list out where you get all the points and someone could help you out with pointers? Better to fail than to pay the price on the roads outside.

Today revision purposely used the same bike used in tp and realised the front brake light not working. Hence that explains the incorrect posture 2x3 points!

Other points can be avoided, like not expecting the idiot in front to stop at give way line when the coast is clear. Hence got failing to keep a safe distance cos need to brake hard. Tat was already back in bbdc after road circuit.

I find that some instructors give different answers.

When going straight (circuit):

check left and right of the junction when you are near the junction, about 1 1/2 bike length from the stop line

when going straight before the uturn:

I am assuming you are approaching the filter lane on your right, check right blind spot, make sure your bike still in the middle of the lane you are traveling, TP loves to add more points if you are already filtering and checking.

Or else if it is before the junction towards uturn, check left once when you are approaching the stop line.

when turning right (after uturn):

Check right when you are filtering into the right turn lane, same as before uturn, if you are at the stop line and right turn arrow is red, if you are going to turn when oncoming traffic is clear, check back and proceed to turn. I assume you know how to check after the right turn.

Congrats.

Class 2A and 2 are far easier than class 2B, so you'll pass it in a much shorter time. Not only are the tests circuit only, there's also no theory test. The big bikes are stabler, so narrow plank is much easier. The engines are more powerful, so the bike doesn't stall as easily, and just a light twist gives enough power for the high-speed obstacles.

Thanks. Will miss bbdc till 2a

I failed my class 2 first time ,it went smooth , except at bumpy course , i got excited thinking the hard part was over & let my bike glide. still passed timing . Failed w 30 points. The guy behind me said i was smooth. I got 4 points wobbly , 8 points for traffic, 6 points for bumpy course , incorrect posture 4 , 4 points for plank & 2 for blind spot. Ive been driving for 25 years ,passed my 2b first time ,2a second & now this. Ive lost my patience. Tp said i was too fast ,will pass if i had slowed down. I wonder are they as stringent to all the class 4 foreign drivers. Selling my bike & going to take the bus from now on. I was trying to prepare for retirement. the smaller bikes are dangerous, 2a bikes not worth my retirement funds.

All that bullshit ,you hear when they say class 2 is easier is utter bullcrap. I need to pass. Any professional riding courses ,i can take to help me pass. Only advise was don't worry. From experience ,when they say don't worry , i worry more. Ive wasted enough $. I feel really depressed & have lost all confidence.

Sorry for venting , I need advice from those that have failed many times. How do they have the courage to keep trying. I need help w that & a personal coach for my riding test.

Hi there,

please don't be discourage. Allow me to share with you my personal story. I have not ridden on a motorbike for the past 27 years until recently in early June this year that I decided to go for my class 2! I cleared my 2A in 1989 and own a Yamaha DT200 for a year only when I had my 2B. I had my class 3 in 1986. As you may expect, no riding experience for 27 years and I am going for class 2 is definitely daunting is it? Though I register in CDC because it is closer to my office, I had an orientation lesson in BBDC on a class 2A bike, a one-on-one lesson with an instructor to get a feel of the bike before my 1st lesson in CDC.

1st lesson at CDC I drop the bike when I first mounted, due to my office wear and shoe. I also fell twice when I took on the figure 8 course! Obviously I failed my first lesson! It took me 2nd session to advance to lesson 2. Lesson 2 also took me 2 sessions to clear. 3 lesson is the internal assessment, this time it took me 3 sessions to clear before I can book my TP test. CDC waiting time for TP test is typically 2 months, so I had plenty of time to horn my skill.

Since I don't own a bike, my only riding chance is at the center. So I booked once every week until 3 weeks before test day, it became twice a week revision. Every time I go, I learn something new, not only on the handling, but also all the habit that I need to display. As I practice more, I gain more confident. I also get to know one instructor personally and every time I have doubt on the circuit, I asked. Even certain scenario that can hinder your test route, I asked.

I passed my class 2 on the 19th Aug, 1st time despite not owning a bike and riding experience for almost 27 years! Both my 2B and 2A also first time. I succeeded because I put in the hard work knowing I am disadvantage because I don't have the riding experience which is bike handling. 2nd is to know and display all the checking behavior that the TP is so particular. Finally, you must displace confidence!

This is my story, hope it help! cheers

Yea, like others have said, failing isn't a big deal. You must put in effort to pass.

It's not like Class 3 where you can close 2 eyes and still pass. You need to be thick skinned and keep going on.

I failed my 2B once and told myself never again. And I booked so many revision sessions before my next TP that I ran out of space on the booklet for the instructor to stamp.

Same thing when I did my 2A, kept going for revisions over and over again despite having a bike of my own. Why? Because each bike is different, it feels different, you need to get used to the driving center's bike.

Moral of the story is don't cheap out on revision, if you kiam siap too much it will end up costing you more to get your license.

Queried Tp - he told me to slow down & be back. Asked instructor they told me not to worry. Now clueless & more importantly lost confidence. I've put a lot of energy into this. I know the circuit well. I've started in in Jan 2013, passed first time in Aug, started 2014 2a passed in 2015 may 2nd time. This year failed again. Learn nothing new. Learning from the Internet now. Riding 1-2 gear below 25kmh on the streets & mscp. I'm bad w failure. Some of y'all have happy endings, my story normally ends otherwise. I'm not gonna give up though. I was told a girl failed 12 times. That would be my benchmark I guess.
