I think you check your coolent in the expansion tank. Its located behind the the triangle casing under your seat on your left. Remove seat, remove casing. See the High Low level. Must be between H and L... preferbly slightly below H. If the coolent level there ok might be something wrong with your Fan or what other S4 riders said... cylinder head.

Speed is not important at all, what it matters is the skill of riding safely and treasuring your own life in your own hands.

Check ur radiator as well. I also encounter this problem since I kanna accident and the raditor was in a bad shape. But my workshop just re-shape it. Though the outlook looks ok, u may nvr know that if the radiator is block.

Also try to flush your coolant.

As what other had mentions earlier, make sure that ur fan is working fine, cos its does affect your cooling.

OK guys. Thanks for the inputs....Some updates.

Went to K & * this morning. Open up radiator and spare tank. Guess what?? Coolant turned to hot milo already!! Even the spare tank got milky water with rust bits inside. :giddy: I guess thats what adds to the boiling sound.

Checked the fan. The switch that connects to the radiator spoilt. Cost $45. Changed the radiator cap also at $15. The mechanic also open up the thermostat housing. No thermostat also. But he said in S'pore, no need to use thermostat. Anyone can clarify??

As for the temp light, got to come back on monday. He said cannot change bulb. Got to change whole circuit board or something like that I cant remember. He'll look out a second hand for me.

So for now hope the problem will be resolved.

Agree. Spore rd no need to put thermostat. unless u r dispatch or always riding in the hot sun. mine removed too cos rust always choke the cooling system from the bloody thermostat.

As long as ur cylinder head ok the rest r all minor stuff.

Radiator cap very impt if rubber hard already or spoilt change... or u may get burnt from the hot coolant if it leaks thru the cap there.

milky water in the coolant reserve??? i advice u to check ur coolant reserve tank every 1-2 days after u get ur bike back cos milky water usually is a sign of coolant being mixed wif engine oil... if milky again... then serious already. oil seal may have broken if mliky again... that one will cost u a bomb.

rad cap is on the right side... did u remove the tank recently and fiddle with the tubes?? if yes, open the tank again and look out for unsecured tubes...

might be a worn gasket too...
