wat i like about Maxima Chain Wax is that when the grit and dirt accumulates to a gunk, it will drop off the chain and front sprocket assy.

chain washing is not a problem after using Maxima Chain Wax.

as per skateboy's post...

Maxima Chain Wax is preferred for class 2a and class 2 bikes as the chain will heat up faster to protect and lube the chain.

Maxima Chain Guard is recommended for class 2b bikes cos smaller bikes takes longer time to heat up the chain and where the lube is more on the watery side, it will start to lube the chain even before it gets heat up.

personally, i'm using Maxima Chain Wax as recommended by ANR Impex.

comments? speechless! try it out and u'll know the :thumb: abt it!

another thing to add on is that, even if it does fling, its so easy to wash off with normal car wash agent... :)

i also vote maxima chain wax as number 1 non fling. No.2 non-fling is castrol chain wax.

By nature of its wax based property , chain wax do not fling as much as those oil based.

Btw, castrol chain wax cost about half the price of maxima for same size.

I try to have a different relationship with the bike. I don't give it a name, but I always speak with it. I don't know if the other riders do the same. This is not only a piece of metal - there is a soul. The bike talks back too. But not with a voice, with the components" - Valentino Rossi

Have anyone tried using grease on their chains? Any reviews?

It's messy to clean up as it will attract all sorts of junks. Unless you are getting the high temperature ones if not after a while the grease sort of melted especially if the chains hot from a long ride, Especially the front sprocket area needs more cleaning time.

For my opinion, the advantage of using grease is dat it make ur chain clean n lesser noise bt the disad is that it doesn't rili lubricate ur chain and as the results ur bike get lesser horsepower frm the rear wheel rotation..prefer maxima chain wax..better..maintain and give the exact horsepower u wanted:thumb:

any lubricant on the external of the shaft is good to protect the surfaces from being rusty... but not the shafts...

the purpose of "lube chain" is to allow the lubricant to seep into the shafts and oil it to reduce wear and tear due to heat and dirt friction.

many riders out there do carry chain lubes and lube their chains. but the problem is... "how many knows the correct way to spray the lube on their chain"?

Can try PJ1 blue label. Just newly used it for quite sometimes and is working fine. Advisable to apply when you are parking your bike overnight after riding.
