use spray then spray abit to a bowl or something then use paint brush lor....

i hv a qn here..... my kr, the muffler or wadeva its called, the one linked to the exhaust, the blackk black thing is getting rusty..... any idea on how i can resolve it? it buy the things to diy how much?? thnx btw

spray the entire belly black to prevent rusting

use a proper heat resistant paint, or it may flake and peel.

Buy high temp spray paint(BLACK). MUST BE high temp spray. Those normal black spray won't last.

Now, before u apply it on the intended place, take sand paper, sand away the rust.. sand sand sand. Sand until u can see the silver metal liao. Clean away the dust/rust. Then now, you spray the high temp spray paint over. Should last you for about 1 to 2 months before the rust come back again.

u mean the high temp spray i can get it at any hardware shop?? then u take out the whole belly to respray or jz spray it like dat??

just spray it like that. Put newspaper cover those area u wish to protect.

hardware shop should have. Tell them u want the high temp kind.

No, i don take out the belly to spray, too much of a work.

the pipe whether need to take out the whole thing to spray or not depends on how rusty yr pipe is

if it's only the bottom part of the stomach rusty then no need take out the whole pipe lor

but if it's both the top and bottom the whole pipe stomach rusty...then perhaps must spend some effort to take out the whole pipe liaoz

the hi-temp spray auntie shop nxt to LAB sell $8/can and the blacksmith shop at my downstairs sell $9/can

so price is agar agar ard there

 

besides using the conventional respray method

i've read of some other bros who use the rust convertor kind of thing

to convert all the rust formed on yr pipe to some other black substance

not exactly sure how effective that method is thou...

IMO, its just not worth the trouble take out the whole "stomach" just to respray.

Just do it as it is without taking it out lar. Just be a little patient when sanding and applying.

In any case, no matter what you use, or what you do, the rust will just come back. Just makes the Bike looks better and prevent the rust by spreading and spreading when i sand the stomach and spray it black.

Why the stomach always rust? Have to ask the people who designed this bike. Can't remember what's the material used though.

Hi guys, i have a very good way to prevent your original stomach from getting rust.

 

Normally i wash bike every weekend, so after every bike wash, i spray a coating of WD40 on my pipe's stomach, and wipe off with a dry cloth.

 

Initially got abit rust coming out, but after i do this, my rust eventually disappeared and like new. Must do after every bikewash.

So far original plug haven't change, but plug use back original good enuff lah.

FUCHS semi syn, not bad, cheap and reliable.

 

3. How long does you all change the engine oil?

3000km every oil change for me.

 

4. What Kind of 2T oil you all using?

Castrol R2 fully syn, good enough for me.

Use a better oil lor, at least semi syn. For me,

 

500km = change oil once

1000km = Change oil once more

1500km = final change

 

Can DIY your oil change. Just drain the oil by releasing the nut below your engine. After that fix back, and top up through the hole near the kick starter. Pour 895ml to 900ml of engine oil. DONE!

 

Shd cost u $10-$20 bucks per bottle, Depend on brand and base.

Yo!! If your rust is not that bad, after u wash bike, spray a thick coat of WD40 to those rusted parts and wipe off with a dry cloth. Hope it helps, coz it helped me!
