hey guys, my bike just gave out on me while i was riding along farrer rd. Halfway at top gear, the engine suddenly started sounding funny, think its either the gears or the engine. After I switch off the engine i can't change the gear down... What might be the problem? Probably have to call some guy to tow it to a workshop tmrw morning, u guys have any recommendations who to call?

THanks man...

were u whacking yr bike when it gave up on u?

did u remember to topup yr 2T?

the problem of difficult to kickdown gear when bike is stationary is common...u juz need to clutch in and push the bike alittle...then try to kick gear again

No lah. Not that difficult lah but about chain tightening, even mechanics make the mistake of over tightening. If I'm not doing the chain tightening by myself, my usual mech (Ah Tai @ Dili Trading) does it very well for me, I'm always seated on top of the bike so that he can make sure it's not over tightened.

haha ic, u wanna help me tighten? keke but seriously wat tools u need? :cheeky:

plier to take out split pin

size 22 spanner for loosening the nut

size 12 to adjust the chain tensioning nuts

and some leg strength to kick on the spanner to exert the force to loosen/tighten the nut

Actually, no problem at all now. Just give them a call to make sure they're available, go there and fix your hoses and go off. Simple. Now that they already have new stocks for HEL hoses, no need to wait like the last time (& have to pay in advance).

DB or EBC sintered are both good choices.
