singapore got the cheapest rubber around. I don't understand why you guys wana go JB change.

Even if its cheap, is the quality good? Has the tyre expired? Made in Thailand? Made in Japan?

there's a "date of birth" on tyres. It will write the year and week that it was produced.

ya ture.. when it comes to tyre some will b quite fuzzy abt it. but come to think of it, it's the only contact to the rd. but inmaging changing a gd sets of tyre cost?? 1 pt. the other how long it last.. gd tyre don't last long cause it made of soft compound rubber wear off much faster then hard ones. moreover i think theres a qauility control 4 the brand. even if its production is not in it's origin country.

i myself still using IRC tyre.. when it comes to corning i don't really go down much. cause no confindent in the IRC.. heard many cases of accident is due to the use of IRC tyre. it last 1 yr plus liao still look like new.. but don't grip... fishtail a few time with the bike liao. wanna change tyre but look at the price... can pay almost 2X installment liao... how to change...................:help:

No tyre can do that, if you ride hard during rain, what tyre you use also will give way. But for sticky tyres, try battlax.

yep battlax 039 is gd enuf for me too. mine since sept til now, not so sticky anymore but can still dong.

suggest u consider changing tyres rather than wait cos it's the one of the more impt components and u wouldn't feel so freaky when u take a corner

Good tyres wears off fast, as there's a better heat cycle. The time yr tyres takes to warm up from cold. Yes there is quality control lar.. but different compounds are used as u said. I would rather choose a more gripy tyre althought it might not last as long as a same brand but different model tyres.

ya cause soft compound grip better to the ground. thus more wear and tear produce therefore it lifespan becomes shorter.. logical..... here's a simple expriment go to a bk shop on the eraser section.. take a soft and a hard tye eraser. rub on any surface.. which eraser gripped more to the surface??? after test look at the eraser which wear off more using the same no of rubs??

cause u nv drag yr bike.. carbon stuck on the valve which u didn't open making it stuck... full service the valve then ok liao.... at least 1 wk open valve 1 time should maintane yr valve longer.
